It's a bit strange that a storm has a name of a girl, but they give names to storms because they found out that it makes people more aware of the dangers and helps them prepare for it.
Thousands of homes were left without power and buildings have been left badly damaged in severe winds.

Where I live, in Spain there are no storms like this. But we do have the strong wind around here that is called the Tramontana. It comes back very often and it comes from the North. It is a cold and dry wind.
