During infancy these children are often the age ranges of 0-2 years of age are slowly developing as they are newly born child and are at the stage of constant crying to often try and communicate with another individual as a sign of what they would like for example if an infant is hungry they would often cry until they are been feed. At this stage their is a lot of responsibility for the parent of the infant who will need constant cleanliness and feeding every now and then. Having a infant at this stage means they are mostly exposed to the environment meaning they may come across viruses, illnesses and even diseases if they were born that way by the parents inheritance, it is also important that the environment around them is safe for example making sure the house is tidy and objects aren't exposed to the child as children often like to touch things without any knowledge of what they are as most common mistakes when having a child around any exposed items is they are mostly likely to touch a cup of hot tea which is common of infants being scaled also known as receiving burns to their body so it's important that items that may cause a hazard to your child is kept away from them so that they are safe and prevents accidents and emergencies.

At this stage the child is at a period of intense cognitive development meaning they are learning to understand their brought up language and learning how to speak enable to communicate with other individuals at their age. At this stage of childhood development they are located into education meaning they are going to school every day for 7 days and are building progress overtime when they are growing up as going to school develops their social and physically skills as they socializing with friends and teachers and also participating in sports such as PE and developing their well-being and being more active in school and also outside of school. School has a huge impact on child as it enables the child to know a lot more of what is happening in the real world and are slowly getting used to seeing what they may come across in future. However, during late childhood in the age ranges between 6-10 years of age children are able to consolidate their skills meaning they are at the milestone of able to do certain things at their age for example being more independent and being more physically active in taking part in sports or even after school clubs if they're interested which is a great way of building more of socially active side of a child.

During the stage of adolescence also known as the stage of a big change before adulthood there's an increasingly amount of stages during the body when a teen hits the age between 11-17 years of age and this stage is called Puberty. At the stage of puberty the body is slowly changing into the sex characteristics of both male and female. For example during puberty for females they often get their period which allows the body to change into womanly sex characteristics meaning that the breasts of the women enlarges and their hips start to get bigger and curvier as they are now a women and will often go through menstrual cycles every month which lasts 2-7 days depending on the individual as the menstrual cycle is different for everyone so most people may have their period longer than other or may not have their period at all. However puberty for males is very much the opposite of the female characteristics as boys start to develop facial hair on the face, armpits and private areas and their voice is mostly likely to deepen as their vocal cords grow longer and thicker as their reaching the stage of becoming a male. At the stage of adolescence there is a big difference between their social side as a child between now as they growing up and are often distant away from family members and even close friends. The reason for this is that as they growing up into a teen they are often insecure as they constantly compare themselves to other people to make themselves feel bad about their own image and often suffer from stress and anxiety from these things.

Also at this stage of adolescence they mostly likely to suffer mental illnesses through experiencing relationships in high school as high school involves a lot adolescences to be involved in each other and also experience breakup which lead teenagers to change and make themselves feel more confident, Also another stage of adolescence is more teenagers are on social media as they are way before social media as hugely impacted on teenagers life as they experience bullying every now on then since other individuals think it's acceptable tear other people down which leads into teenagers committing suicide and evening having bad mental health which is a risk for them.

The social model of health is holistic and looks at the whole person as a whole, this includes the physical, emotional and economic influences on their health. This values an individual as it allows individuals to focus what is going on the inside of a person and focusing more on their well-being for example their behavioral changes, physical changes and much for visible changes. The social model of health and well-being also states that you social well-being depends on the way you live for example 'income'. income is what impacts our social well-being as this means that the more money you have the better you will live as money allows you to buy food for when we are hungry and money to do other activities such as sports to improve our mental health as we are keeping our bodies actively going.

Explain the importance of recognising and responding to concerns regarding an individual's growth and development.

Health and social care practitioners have a professional duty of recognizing and responding to concerns about an individuals growth and development meaning seeing if their is any change. It is important that babies before birth are being checked and observant as babies that haven't came out the mother's womb is still growing and developing for the safe pregnancy for the mother, for example if the unborn baby stops developing the mother has no other choice but to deliver early by C-Section also known as cesarean section which is technique of cutting the belly in other to deliverer the baby without the mother experiencing any pain.

Another importance of recognizing and responding to concerns is intervention, this means taking action to promote an individuals health and well-being for example making sure babies are screened to check their heart, eyes and hips however for boys they would often check the testes. Checking the hips of the babies is important as babies could dislocate which is caused by a condition called (DDH) also known as Development Dysplasia Of The Hip so it's important health and social care practitioners check the hips for this condition so it can be treated for the babies to be able to learn how to walk in future. Also children who are born deaf are will also receive the support they need in order to develop communication when speaking to other individuals for example deaf children will often learn sign language which is technique of gesturing your hands to make an individual aware of what you are saying or needing.

However, another importance when recognizing and responding to concerns is by meeting an individual's needs. Meeting and individuals needs means that people are receiving the correct treatment and support for their needs at the appropriate time so they can grow and develop and maintain a healthier and remain independent for a long period of time. An example of meeting individuals needs would be in be in a child has down syndrome, also known as a genetic condition which involves an individual with an extra chromosome due to a one-off genetic change in the sperm or egg, from this down syndrome isn't genetic inherited but the child could be born with this condition due to off-spring of both the parents. The child who has down syndrome would be monitored and will referred to an early intervention programing just will aim to help the child with down syndrome develop and support the family. This would include speech and language therapy as it will the child communicate to others without finding it difficult. By this method of observation and supporting the child the practitioners are able to get the child achieve development milestones.
