I was nominated by the parent of one of my students from last year. Apparently he hated school and didn't do well at all until 6th grade and now he is getting A's, B's, and a few C's. I feel like recognition of this type is much more heart felt and meaningful than district type stuff. Congrats to Corrina and Cathy on retirement; I am very envious of both of you! It has driven me to consider switching careers.  I actually had a very serious conversation with my husband about it, and he convinced me to stick it out. I usually love my job but it seems to be getting so hard. I want to celebrate being one of the lucky people that USUALLY loves their job.
