in 2019, the Heritage Alliance attained a new digital scanner through grant funding. The scanner is being used to digitize the organization's archival collections, primarily its hundreds of photographs. The Heritage Alliance held an open call to the community in May 2019 to bring in any images relating to the area to be scanned as a community service which would also help add images to the organization's digital collection.

Community engagement and resource collection are essential to the organization's mission and to the success that the organization maintains in historic preservation.
