         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>For GCERF, <strong>violent extremism</strong> is the advocacy for and use of violence to achieve political and/or social goals by non-state actors, forgoing political processes or nonviolent methods of fostering change, and is not exclusive to any geographic origin or system of belief. <br><br></div><div>For GCERF, <strong>preventing violent extremism </strong>is the use of non-coercive means to build the resilience of individuals and communities against becoming radicalized and joining, or being inspired to act as independent agents of, groups that practice violent extremism. <br><br></div>]]></description>
