I thought Bergler's biblical theology of spiritual maturity was exhaustive and very convincing, though encouraging spiritual maturity can only be done once the youth have accepted Christ; and would perhaps occupy the minds of youth workers running an inside-out ministry. In Pete Ward's outside-in incarantional model, the idea of growing up into Christ would be a much later consideration, perhaps falling under the 'Nurture' stage?
