The immigrants eased into their new lives in the U.S. and tried to "Americanize" themselves. They would still speak their language, celebrate their special holidays, and cook their foods as in their old country. They struggled to adjust to the American ways.</div>]]></description>

They gave in their effort to adapt but yet blended their old and new ways. Their children would quickly adapt to the culture because they wanted to be seen as Americans.</div>]]></description>
