         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Value of German trade with the USA fell from 68 million to 10 million in one year.<br>-Agricultural production fell about 50-70%.<br>-Industrial output fell 40% from 1914-1918.<br>-Following the war respiration and repayments devalued the German economy.<br>-Many people bought war bonds during the war so afterward billions of dollars reentered the economy.<br>-The British navy blocked off the German coast so countries can not trade with Germany. This hurt the German economy and food supplies became dangerously low. Famine was on the rise and people where even using saw dust as a substitute for flour. Clothes, soap, and fuel also started to run low during this time.&nbsp;<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Socially: Although there was very little social change Russia did began to have a more benevolent attitude toward women rather then the church. Thus made the church be abolished making Russia the only great power to be an atheist state. Also women became the more primary caretaker of the family, because the men of the households (fathers, brothers, sons, or husbands). Were either fighting at war or they passed away at war.&nbsp;<br><br>Culturally: People were forced to relocate, since the war was so close to where people lived. Except when families would return to their homes most homes had been destroyed during the war. And so they would have to find a new place to live and start their life over.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
