<title>[1] Roly Polys actually aren&#39;t bugs at all. They are terrestrial Crustaceans. And they&#39;re related to shrimp. [2] Roly polys have haemocycanin in their blood which makes it blue in color when it is carrying oxygen. [3] On rare occasions you may find a bright blue or purple roly poly. The purple/blue roly poly is sick if you find it like this. The color is caused by the retrovirus which causes crystals to form beneath the roly poly&#39;s exoskeleton. -Loren Toews</title>
