The main characters include the famous author, Paul Sheldon, his obsessor Anne Wilkes, The chief and deputy chief of the town, Buster and Virginia. The story follows Paul after a car accident into a snowbank, where he is rescued at Anne's house where she nursed his broken legs and shoulder. I would say all the actors/actresses do an exceptional job in their roles, although we don't see some of them as much as others.
