The reformation of ELT curriculum and approach sometimes overlaps with the national language maintenance. Some changes in ELT were cancelled due to public rejection.<br><br></div><div><strong>Rationale:<br></strong>As English continues as the international lingua franca, the need of higher proficiency of English is needed for national economic goal. However, the stated problem prevents the development of ELT.
