Word is very good for writing letters and documents as it is designed for office use. The advantages of word are that you can have different background colour. This means that you can either change the page colour for personal use or maybe sending a letter to a dyslexic friend so it is easier for them to read. Although there are useful advantages there is always disadvantages such as when you want to print something and you have it outside the border it wont print it will cut out. Also if you save the document as word file format and send it to your friend he wont be able to open it unless he has word on his system as well. But the main disadvantage is that it is very expensive!

PowerPoint lets you create slideshows it is mostly used for presentations as it has slideshows it is very easy to present.  If you create a presentation and performing to deaf players you can always add subtitles for deaf people. If you presenting to people that can’t see the text you can always change the font. PowerPoint has a lot of disadvantages such as not having a lot of support for disability people as it doesn’t have a lot of options for it. Also the animation that PowerPoint has its a bit childish and sometimes are just a waste of time as they will be probably skipped.

E-mail has been for a while it basically lets to send letters online to people but is instant instead of waiting for days to receive the email. The advantages of email is that it allows its users to communicate with friend that live far distances from them or live in area not accessible by disabled people. Also there is disadvantages of e-mails is that a lot of the time you will receive spam from company's or people if they got your email. Also people try to steal bank information from people they mostly target elderly generation as they don't have a lot of knowledge on technology.

There are software's that allow people to use the computer easier for those who have disability for example like:

Skype is a software that allows you to communicate with people by chat or text online worldwide for as long you have internet connection. The advantages of it is that it is free to use for everyone, you also get instant messages so there is no waiting. If the person is offline on Skype you can always call them on their phones. Also you can send files through Skype but it will take time if you got slow internet connection. A disadvantage is that you have to pay money if you want to have calls with a lot of people and using cameras.

Facetime has couple of advantages such as that it will work on any apple product but you can do face time on a computer to a phone or a phone to a IPod. The disadvantages is that face time is apple product so people who have a Microsoft product can’t use face time. It is also not friendly for people who have disability as you have to hold it so you are in shot and to end calls you have to touch the end button which mean people with bad eye to hand coordinate will struggle.
