Con: Difficult and debatable questions which have no clear answers: 1. Decrease the number of radiology residency positions to go unfilled.	2. Effect training of radiologists who will not be able to find work. 3. Trained radiologists now in practice, how to begin to prepare for change and what kind of training should they be given? 4. How many radiologists are needed in five to ten years? (Hasting, 2020), (Schier, 2020).

Tele-radiology, jetting into orbit cleared for powered “Artificial Intelligence” (AI) systems in the Radiology department. “AI Systems have an emerging role in radiology diagnostics by providing a rapid supportive role for radiologists in making their assessments”, (Hasting, 2020, p. 1). The introduction of these artificial intelligence system’s marks the beginning of the end of how radiologist produces diagnostic results as we know it today. AI powered technology produced by Nines a teleradiology company was just approved for triage in the ER by FDA which supports the automated radiologist review of CT Head scan images for the possible presence of two critical life-threatening Indication: intracranial hemorrhage and mass effect. (Hasting, 2020, p. 3-4). According to Schier (2020), as cite by (McKinney, Sieniek & Shetty, 2020), for breast cancer screening, the current innovation system describes an AI system able to interpret screening mammograms more accurately than radiologists, (Schier, 2020, p. 1).

Pros: The widespread use of artificial intelligence will create support for healthcare and patient satisfaction. 1. Improve patient care by decreasing Radiologists' workload triage cases. 2. Faster turnaround results and reliable diagnosis. 3. Less expensive and more impartial. 4. A radiologist will have more time dealing directly with patients, (Hasting, 2020), (Schier, 2020).

"Opinion and Rationale: " "Artificial intelligence (AI) systems will not replace every radiologist, nor will computers learn to read every type of imaging study all at once", (Schier, 2020). However with the advancement of AI systems in Radiology providing timely and accuracy reports is essential to the benefits of a critical intervention. The speed at which AI technology will advance and impact radiology will be a great aid to the Radiologists by assisting and handling that critical diagnosis in a timely time frame. Therefore, implementing AI technology in radiology will be a great advantage in improving our patient’s outcome, (Hastings, 2020).

In conclusion, ensuring comfortability and instilling confidence to our patients especially during this very uneasy time with COVID 19 exposure is imperative. An increase in radiology demands, requires timely and precise diagnostic results which improve patient's critical intervention outcomes. To guarantee high accountability and provide our patient’s population with the most innovative product, radiology personal must be persuaded that Artificial Intelligence systems incorporated into operation can make the difference in improving patient care and outcomes. Radiology departments incorporating AI technology and telehealth will be providing patients with the current innovative technology that is essential and needed to thrive now and in the future, (Hastings, 2020).

https://www.medgadget.com/
