In the movie there is a part about movie presenting life in the camp. There were lot’s of soldiers and grandfather watching it. It was example of the manipulation German people. We could suppose that most of Germans didn’t know all the truth about holocaust. There is no such scene in the book.
Przemek

There are some differences in the ending of the book and the movie. In the movie we could see when Bruno and Shmuel came naked to the room which was closed. Later we could see a soldier pouring Cyklon B through the opening in the roof. We heard people screaming and later it was only silence. We are sure that all was dead. His family understood what happened.
In the book we know that Bruno and Shmul went to the room and the door was cloused. He still was holding Shmuel’s hand. We are sure that they dead, but his family was not. They supposed even that Bruno could go to Berlin, but in our opinion father thought as much when he took a look at fance near Bruno’s clothes.
Przemek

There are some diffrences in presenting of Bruno’s way to Smuel: in the movie he had to walk through the forest and small brook, and in the book he walked along the fence behind the house. It was very long way.
Dominika
