I think Knuth means that people with power, presidents, kings, queens, etc., can enforce false beliefs just because they're seen as leaders, or higher ups. even if the knowledge isn't true, they still can convince you to believe it.

I think that getting knowledge from social media can be helpful if you get it from a reliable source and do your research. You have to be careful with the information you spread if you got it from social media because it could be false. If you want to share information do your research before spreading it.

It is scary for one person or a small group of people to have knowledge and information because they may want to do something that isn't good for the general public and we can't prevent that from happening if we don't know the benefits and disadvantageous of it. For example, King George III placed many taxes on the colonists and some people didn't know how that may effect others which caused problems between Parliament and the colonists.

I think it can be a good or bad thing. on the good side, it can help people that don't live near a school, or kids, to socialize, or learn some information, and see other people's thoughts. on the flip side, it can spread false things, and record mean things about others. for example, someone recording their friend slipping and falling. trends can also hurt people. trends like holding your breath or doing dangerous things can influence both adolescents and kids and can end up being fatal.

I believe that Knuth meant when he said, "putting into effect the logic of your own beliefs" means that a person has the right to have general knowledge in all sources of books, articles, poetry, and even some stuff on social media. Also meaning that any knowledge you spread should be unharmed, and used for the general good.

getting knowledge from social media can be helpful but through the spread of it there can and is many unreliable sources that you can access, thus if you want reliable you should check it on multiple platforms or sources to be sure of a correct answer or statement. Still social media can be a good source of ideas and information due to the wide variety of genres that you can access and the many different thoughts that you can fact check on each other. overall social media is a good way to get information but don't believe everything that you see or hear.

I think that the knowledge should not be limited to the public. The reason I think this is that people should be able to have their own opinions about things that are going on in the world. With books you can find information that is not found on the internet. “Books are the carriers of civilization. from my perspective, I see that powerful people use it as an opportunity. they get publicity that way, and can end up influencing people to do bad/good things. on YouTube, I can see powerful figures (presidents, HUGE YouTubers, etc,) trying to get followers/subscribers to stay for more views, which leads to likes, and the algorithm will recommend it to more people. basically, they use it as an opportunity to manipulate people.

Knowledge should not be limited for the general public, I believe this claim because people have the right to spread logic, reasons for the logic, preferences, and religion. The only information that should be destroyed or hidden is secret information on dangerous weapons, objects, or compounds (Element Compounds). powerful people use social media to manipulate people. they use it for publicity. for example, powerful public figures like former presidents, or YouTubers, hook people with fun videos. after, they get more publicity, hence the algorithm recommends it to more people on their For You Page. to conclude, they just use it as a manipulative way to get people to like them.

Without books, the development of civilization would have been impossible.” Therefore all people should have access to knowledge because it is the foundation of all thoughts and ideas that is the foundation to society. If we don't have this power our society would simple crumble and the reason for restricting the use of knowledge would be a faint, almost non-existent thought at the back of minds with no purpose whatsoever, in other words restricting knowledge would bring about exactly what they where meant to counteract, the freedom of ideas.

I think some should be LIMITED. my reasoning is because with knowledge in the wrong hands, it can be used against people. people won't always appreciate it and use it wisely. people can be greedy. and I believe all people of race, gender, or disability should have the chance to learn and know things. but that doesn't mean they'll use it wisely. According to "A Brief History of Book Burning," "People saw knowledge as a way to change themselves, and the world" (Boissoneault 6) This can be good and bad.

I think knowledge should be available to everyone. Without knowledge people who do have knowledge could use what we don't know about a topic and control what we know about it. For example, the Chinese emperor, Qin Shi Huang "ordered a bonfire of books as a way of consolidating power in his new empire" (Boissoneault 2). He wanted to make sure no one knew about more successful leaders than him.
