The current decline of African elephants is due to illegal poaching, habitat fragmentation as well as genetic distribution within elephant populations.

African Elephants are also important in our environment because maintain ecosystem valances within African savannas and forests.

The disappearance of this species would impact altered ecosystem dynamics and would affect seed dispersion and soil quality.

To protect the habitat of our animals we can create protected areas such as nature reserves, and natural parks, among others, to prevent poaching, we can create stricter laws against hunting, and avoid purchasing products that come from animals, as a community we can create campaigns, in which different people participate to know what damage we have against different animals, and finally from schools we can teach children different strategies to take care of our habitats and animals.
