this moment is important where the mother is unwilling to let grandfather know about his illness, leading to the grandfather feeling left in the dark and being a burden. This is seen “But when t the doctor wants to talk to me, but you say no.” shows how the mother does not want grandfather to know what’s going on, but despite mother trying to hide the truth from grandfather he is well aware he is not well. This is seen in” I know I’m not well I know I am sick” , shows that despite mother’s desperate attempt to hide the children grandfather knows, despite grandfather, knowing he is on where he feels that in the dark, as he does not know what he is sick with grandfather also find herself a burden to mother as mother is found being lost in emotions and problems. She is also found being stressed with all the medical problem. This shows how they’re both emotionally impact with the situation leading them to both hiding their feelings linking back to how both mother and grandfather are emotionally impact by the situation.

The conflict between mother and son is important as mother thinks of his son as someone who does not talk to people often, but the son, after the grandfather moved in, the son started to get comfortable with grandfather, like going into grandfather's room to talk with him, even though the mother specifically said to not go into grandfather's room. This is why the mother is angry at the son as he did not follow her rules but instead go against her rules.

This scene is important as Son, Grandfather and Mother express how they feel about Grandfather's illness. Mother does not want the Son to help take care of Grandfather as she wanted to pay back Grandfather for looking after her during her childhood. Mother also believes that Son should not be involved and rather focus on his studies as it is his future in her eyes. Son believes that Grandfather requires family care over medical care and believes that Grandfather can still live a meaningful life despite his illness. This goes against Mother's logic thus creating tension between the two. Grandfather expresses that he does not want to trouble Mother and Son as he does not want to be a burden to them. After Mother confesses that she wants to care for him like he did to her in his childhood and that Mother was overwhelmed, Grandfather comforted her thus relieving the tension.

When mother and grandfather hug symbolizes the importance of the love they have for each other no matter the situation.

This is due to the fact that mother had a hard time taking care of grandfather as she not only was his care taker but she also kept secrets about grandfathers illness making grandfather feel like a burden on mother. Another point is the fact that mother was very heartless towards grandfather as she was only doing the bare minimum to take care of grandfather. Their hug symbolizes the eternal love they have for each other and how grandfather will always take care of mother no matter what as he will forever be her father.

this is shown from the text when she comforted her by saying" I don't want to take care of you pa. I want you to take care of me "that when grandfather said"

I will always take care of you. I will always be your pa"

Hence, this shows the importance of love between a father and his daughter as they will forever love each other no matter the situation or dilemma.

the scene is impotant because of how the mother development because from the start she is always trying to shut everyone out trying to do things herself not telling the grandfather and asking the son to focus on his studies and exams . At the start she tells the son to ignore/ stay away the grandfather and letting the grandfather to stay at the hospital and that he needs medical care but now after fighting with the son over family care and medical care and when the grandfather says he doesn't want to be burden she shows her true feelings , wanting to be the grandfathers daughter / little girl and not wanting to worry the grandfather as she says "if i could i , i just want to forget ..... pretend this is not happening . i just want to be ur girl . i dont want to take care of you pa . i want u to take care of me ." shows that she just wants the grandfather to take care of her . after that they hug which shows how close they are or how their bond grew more , which is important in the scene .

Grandfather - On lines 338 to 346, He express his feelings for the first time, saying that he's a burden and doesn't want to be. He usually does not express his feelings, and just let mother do her own thing, but this time he had enough and finally describe his feelings. He also think that she felt useless and decided not to be, telling others that he wants to help as well.

Medical care or Family care

Mother and Son both has different ways of caring for Grandfather. " I gave you specific instructions not to his room." This shows that Mother does not want Son to disturb Grandfather, unknowingly that he is actually helping Grandfather in his own way. Mother uses medical care to take care of Grandfather, and Son uses family care. This then causes a conflict between them as they have two different perspective between one another for grandfather.

This scene shows how the Mother’s character changes from being strong and controlling to showing her weakness and sadness. At the start, she brushes off her son’s worries and says, “Everything is fine. No need to get so sentimental. These things happen. People get sick.” This shows that she is denying her true feelings and trying to look strong. She also focuses on lists, brochures and prescriptions, which shows she wants to take charge of the situation instead of showing emotions. However, later she breaks down in front of her father and says, “It hurts seeing you like this… And I don’t know what else to do.” This shows her pain and helplessness as she struggles with her father’s illness. She wants to care for him but also longs to still be cared for as his daughter. Her development is important because it shows that being a caregiver is hard, and even strong people feel weak sometimes. This makes the scene moving as it shows the power of love in a family which makes it important and how her character development changes.

this moment is important because Grandfather got to know how his daughter really felt towardsthe situation of his sickness, the mother stated that she just wanted to forget the situation and pretend it isnt happening. Mother always wanted to be Grandfather's little girl again. At first, Grandfather always thought that he was the burden to the family because he is sick, mother insisted that he wasnt a burden and hugged him which symbolises how much love they show towards eachother especially when the mother at first seemed cold-hearted. Grandfather made sure to mother that he will always take care of her no matter what happens to him which makes this scene important as Grandfather and Mother seemed to know how to fix conflicts between eachother and make their bond stronger

The son telling mother that granfather needs family care. This evident from" He needs medical care." line 11 and "He needs family care" line 12. This shows that one of the ways to make grandfather feel better is by having family care. By having family care, grandfather can feel more safe around them, and less of a burden to them. Having family care is one of many ways to improve grandfather health condition. Having son telling mother that grandfather needs family care also set as a remainder to mother that grandfather illness can't cannot get better by having medical care just like how many people will assume sick people just need medical care and forget about the family care.

One of the main conflicts that happened in the playground was between grandfather and mother. There relationship was at stake and this conflict reconstructed Their relationship and the secrets they hid from each other like grandfather hiding the fact that he knows he's going to die " I know im sick" and mother hiding all the work she does and her own feelings about grandfather's illness "Look at all this" and "how can I tell you? How can a daughtertell her father - " and how much its painful for her to witness her father be in pain when he was there for her all her life. From this we can see that though they argued they solved it by finally confessed there real feelings and emotions.
