• Being an ECE educator is important as we learn so much from the course and when we start working at the daycare and we would know what to do and teach the children from what we learn from in the ECE program.

My favourite thing about this program is that we get to go to practicums in different daycares and learn their structure on the differences they have in each facility, have different routines and different things they do in each daycare.

• my favourite thing about this program is we got make our own weekly plan, monthly plan activities and different activity plans.

• My favourite thing about this program we got to sew different things like little booties, owl, felt books, qaurut with beads, doll amautik and also made juggling balls out of felt and seal skin.

• Why should someone be an ECE Educator?

  + you get to learn on different stages of infants and toddlers on what they can learn as they grow. And experience at a daycare. And sometimes have self care at class like sewing, beading. That it is important to self care sometime.

  
  

Being a student living away from home to take part in ECE can be challenging sometimes to continue but from the help of my instructors and classmates being there for me when i need help with something is a difference they make to get me thigh another day to continue my studies.

• What I like about our classroom is that it looks more organize classroom since we started as we organized it as a class and it looks more like daycare

There are many reasons why someone should become an ECE educator. Firstly, ECE educators shape the developmental years of a child’s life, influencing their cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth. Secondly, ECE educators builds strong relationships with children, loves seeing children grow and over coming challenges. And Thirdly, there is a need for qualified ECE educators all over Canada, especially in Nunavut. (Experience in working around children or better yet, completed ECE Program)

As a student in ECE Program, I have felt supported throughout my ECE journey. My instructors have always been encouraging, and creates a safe space where I can ask questions and express myself without any judgement. The resources provided both academically and emotionally have helped me stay on my feet and feel confident in my student life. Connecting with classmates has also made a difference. Knowing that I’m heard, valued, and guided has made my experience meaningful and so memorable.

What i like about our classroom is that in one corner of it is made to look like a daycare so we can have our own circle time when we are starting our day in class, that we have a board on one wall that we did our planning on what we would do if we started working working in a daycare facility, that there are toys that children uses in daycare, arts and craft supplies to plan what activity we will teach with the material that is available to us.

Early Childhood Education (ECE) program is preparing me to work in a daycare by going to practicum at daycares and doing hands-on experience in child development and care. I get to learn about physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development in children from birth to age five. This program teaches how to create safe, and engaging learning environments, manage routines, and support children's daily routine (feeding, hygiene regulations, cleaning up)

+ it made us know what it would be like and have experience about infants and toddlers and know what do to before hand. This program is a great experience if you like working with children at a daycare.
