Not only does this photo represent the LGBT and gay pride flag as sidewalks. It also shows consistent support for people in a part of that community. This banner really stood out to me because not only was it a pun for a ice cream stand but it also represents the diversity once again in the LGBT community. This is a statement that love can come in any different shapes and forms. These two girls have both been accepted into the LGBT community with welcoming arms. Being friends with them for so long I have seen how much they have grown in this community. It was extremely hard for both of these girls to come out to their family and friends but with the LGBT community accepting them it helped to give them the confidence and the resources that they needed. I even experienced a lot of surprise when two of my closest suddenly came out as bisexual. When I did my research I sat down with Kyle who was easily accepted into this community when he came out. This photo shows through a fence a blurred image of a hand holding a hammer with the LGBT flag or rainbow on it. This really stuck out to me because I think that it really shows how hard this community has fought for their voice to be heard. The hammer is a representation of how they wont give up or stop fighting for the equal rights that they deserve. Kyle also took part in a interview that I did for my research paper. This photo really represents two different men who identify as gay. The shadow on this photo shows them kind of coming out into the world to be accepted which Kyle has already accomplished but Brenan is still doing. Spencer is someone who went to my roommate's high school and who is openly gay. This photo represents Spencer and how comfortable he is in his skin. When he took this photo he was wanting to express how happy he is in life right now. This is a photo that really speaks to people and could potentially help motivate others to come out. In this photo it is another representation of the good reaction some people get when they come out. Although this is not the situation for most people when they come out to their family and friends, Kellan accepts Kyle just the same as he did before. In this picture it shows boy scouts holding up the LGBT flag next to the American flag. This is a representation that this generation is learning to accept the LGBT community more than others. Even in boy scouts they are teaching them to respect the LGBT people and that they are all equal.
