This means that the kindergarteners who enter our bilingual school from the immediate community enter tremendously underdeveloped emotionally, socially, and academically, leading students to fall behind their peers within the walls of the school as well as in other bilingual schools and the international community. -Students learn a second language (L2) quicker if they have a strong control over their first language (L1). -Research-based curriculums must be utilized in classrooms
