A child with a chronic health condition, like asthma or diabetes, may have specific physical needs related to managing their health.</p><p><br/></p><p>3. <strong>Communication</strong> :Communication needs involve difficulties in speech, language, or other forms of communication.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Examples</strong>: A child with a speech delay might struggle to articulate sounds or words. Another example is a child with a language disorder, facing challenges in understanding or expressing ideas verbally.</p><p><br/></p><p>4. <strong>Learning</strong> : Learning needs refer to challenges in acquiring and processing information, impacting academic progress.</p><p><br/></p><p> <strong>Examples</strong> : A child with dyslexia may have difficulty with reading and spelling. A student with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) might struggle with maintaining focus and organization in learning tasks.</p><p><br/></p><p>5. <strong>Sensory</strong> : Sensory needs involve difficulties or sensitivities related to the senses, such as touch, sight, hearing, taste, or smell.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Examples</strong> : A child with sensory processing disorder may have heightened sensitivities to certain textures or sounds. Children with visual or hearing impairments have sensory needs related to their respective senses.</p><p><br/></p><p>6. <strong>Emotional</strong> : Emotional needs relate to challenges in managing emotions, social interactions, and behavioral regulation.</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Examples</strong>: A child with anxiety may struggle with excessive worry or fear.
