Virtual Parent Training:

Support in Education

🗓 Thursday 30th April 2026

🕙 10:00am – 11:30am

Learn how to work with schools and settings to ensure the right support is in place for your child’s educational journey.

Come along to catch up with other parents in an informal setting. Stay for 5 minutes or the whole session.

PCF Coffee Events - free, informal sessions, where parents will be able to chat to other parents. Some hosted by us, others we will be attending.

People from education, health, SEN services and charities will pop along to some coffee mornings so you can ask them any questions about accessing their services.

Children are very welcome!

The Knowing Me Profiling Tool helps to identify a child’s strengths and needs, with a focus on neurodivergence. It supports parents, carers, professionals, and children or young people to better understand a child’s differences and to identify helpful strategies or additional support. This support can help meet a child’s needs at home, in education settings, and within the wider community.

To support the use of this tool, we are developing a Neurodiversity Hub. The Hub will bring together information, resources, and services to support parents, carers, and young people.

The Neurodiversity Hub currently includes information and resources that have been co‑produced with parents, carers, and professionals.

As this area is still being developed, we welcome your feedback. If there is any information you would like to share or suggest for inclusion in the Hub, please let us know.

Many families tell us that accessing sensory assessments or support can be difficult, and experiences vary widely between areas. We want to understand what support you have been offered, what has helped, and where things could be improved. Your feedback will help shape future plans within the Transforming Care Programme, including whether a more consistent sensory offer across Cheshire and Merseyside would make a difference for children with the most complex needs, or whether earlier support is needed.
