In the first week of my first semester at San Marcos High School, I realized that I would need to go on a tough and important journey to have a successful first semester. Usually in a call to adventure a hero could accept or deny this call. As I read the syllabuses, I accepted the call to adventure that was on the syllabus because I knew I needed to be focused and prepared for getting good grades in my first semester at San Marcos High School.


My call to adventure in the first semester relates to that of a hero's because I could either accept or deny to work hard in order to succeed in my first semester at San Marcos High School.

Similar to a hero's journey, I had people help me be ready and focused to pass. In hero's journey their mentors and helpers give them advice to help them get past their quest. During my first semester, people game me advice that helped me prevail and pass the first semester. Usually in a hero's journey, the mentors and helpers were people with great knowledge and have been through something similar. Just like a hero, my mentors and helpers were people of age, like my parents and teachers.

My mentors and helpers were similar to those of a hero because they gave me advice to pass the journey I had to go on and they were of great knowledge and wisdom.

This similar to what occurred to me on my first semester at San Marcos High School. On my journey to the final, there were many many challenges that helped me prepare for the final. These challenges made me wiser and stronger for what lies ahead. For heroes on their journey challenges make them more intelligent and stronger, as well. Some of the challenges were simple, but some were difficult.

The challenges I had to face during the first semester related to the challenges a hero faces on their journey because they made me stronger and wiser, so I am prepared for the final.

Luke accepts this call to adventure, which all heroes must do, by bringing Obi-Wan Kenobi the plea from the princess. Luke and Obi-Wan realize that they must save the princess from the Empire.

Luke Skywalker's call to adventure is that of a stereotypical hero because he accepts the call and realizes he must go on a significant journey with many challenges.

The most notable mentors of Luke's were Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda. They gave Luke advice and trained him to become the Jedi Knight that he eventually became. Obi-Wan and Yoda were very stereotypical mentors because both of them were once Jedi Knights and knowledgable of how to defeat the Dark Side. Luke also had people that helped him on the way, like Han Solo, Chubaca, and Princess Leia. All of these helpers helped Luke in many aspects of defeating the Dark Side. 

Luke's mentors and helpers relates to those of a regular hero because they were very knowledgable of the Dark Side and have had past experiences.

Luke's first challenge had him saving Princess Leia from the Dark Side. This led to more knowledge for Luke about how to defeat the Dark Side. Luke became stronger and wiser when he learned to use the force to defeat enemies. Also, Luke had to save his planet from destruction by the Empire. These challenges led to a more intelligent and tougher Luke Skywalker.

Luke Skywalker's challenges he faces on his journey is similar to those of the "hero" archetype because they lead to him becoming more knowledgable and stronger for future battles ahead

After going through many challenges, like tests and quizzes, I was prepared to take on the finals. All of the challenges help lead to the hero's abyss. Whatever you have learned throughout the journey will be needed on the abyss. For me, I became very knowledgable about what I have learned while on this journey. After I finished taking the abyss, it showed that this journey I took resulted in a success.

The abyss, finals, that I had to go through was similar to the abyss a hero has to go through because all of the information that I learned throughout the journey would be needed and it would decide if the journey was a success or a failure. For me, the journey, first semester, I took resulted in a success.

Luke trained and have fought Darth Vader before which prepared him for this significant fight. Luke's preparation and focus led to him defeating his father by cutting off his hand. After Luke threw his lightsaber on the floor. This was not a smart move for Luke because the Dark lord used his lightning and injured Luke. But a surprising event occurred when Darth Vader took the Emperor and threw him into a deep abyss. Darth Vader was beginning to die, though, from the energy of the lightning from Dark Lord. Luke became a very strong person on his journey, so when his father was dying Luke tried to save him. The damage was too much, though, and Darth Vader died in Luke's arms.

Luke's Abyss was similar to many heroes in literature because he used all of the information he gained on his journey for this one battle. Although for Luke, this abyss lead to a result of a successful journey and a failed journey. It was a success because he destroyed the Dark Side, which was the main goal of the journey. The journey was a failure because Darth Vader, Luke's father, died right when he was beginning to become non-evil.
