Students - I work hard to learn as much as possible about my students and their identities. This is easier with some students than it is with others.

Colleagues - I know my crew's identities very well, as we are a close group that has worked together for over 15 years. We are a staff of 120+ teachers, and there are many that I do not know or know much about their identities.


How can these reflection tools help?


I believe that the values activity can be useful for planning purposes. While engaging in course planning, being intentional about personal core values, and having participants focus on their core values, can make the PD more intentional and focused.

In this season of transition, I am figuring out what this new version of myself these acts will look and sound like. Completing these activities allowed me to revisit some of my core values now and reflect on how some might have shifted while others remain the same. I appreciate the reflection time.
