         <description><![CDATA[<div>I used to think the same thing - that arteries have thicker walls to support higher pressure, and capillaries are one cell thick to support diffusion.<br><br>However, I now also think that these functions help the circulatory system through supporting the double pump system of the heart, meaning that these structures support the movement of blood to the lungs (lower pressure) and from the heart to the rest of the body (higher pressure for extremities)</div>]]></description>
