She managed to succeed at every one of these murders since her sister helped. In 1939 Europe was about to go into war, so she decided to take Jewish refugees into her house. She became inspired by her mother since her mother said, “if you have to help somebody, like refugees, you have to make sacrifices for yourself”(www.history.com). Freddie’s mother recommended making dolls for the children they came across. She also recommended joining the International Red Aid, an organization where they provided aid to political prisoners (https://www.washingtonpost.com).

In 2014 the Mobilization War Cross was given to Freddie and her sister for the accomplishments they made during the war. Truus founded the National Hannie Schaft Foundation. She named it after her friend Hannie Schaft who helped them kill nazis.

They used their looks to manipulate men, then eventually killing them. As well as how she was so young and managed to survive a war. Even being able to kill some Nazis at such a young age. She was 92 years old when she died, and suffered from many heart attacks during her life. Unfortunately, she died the day before her 93rd birthday. Her sister Truus Oversteegan died on June 18, 2016 and also died when she was 92 years old. Both sisters died from natural causes. Their friend Hannie Schaft that helped kill Nazis with them died April 17, 1945.
