Daisy is perceived as the ideal trophy wife on the 1920's. Daisy was loved by Gatsby because of her social class and wealth, so this love Gatsby had for Daisy was materialistic. Daisy was expected to stay with Tom Buchanan, because she was financial comfortable, and her social status frowned upon divorce.

"I looked back at my cousin who began to ask me questions
in her low, thrilling voice. It was the kind of voice that
the ear follows up and down as if each speech is an arrangement
of notes that will never be played again."
"—but there was an excitement in
her voice that men who had cared for her found difficult to
forget"
"‘Her voice is full of money,’ he said suddenly"
Daisy's voice is mentioned multiple times for the hypnosis-like tone of it. Her voice is an important key attribute to her character, and explains her personality that swoons men.

While Daisy was in love with Jay Gatsby, she knew her moral values as a upper-class woman, and that decided her fate of being with Tom over Gatsby. Her standards of morality was determined by her duties as a mother and wife. Daisy was based off of Fitzgerald's wife, Zelda and I believe that is why Daisy was portrayed in such a bad light.

Myrtle was not concerned with being loyal to George at all, and would rather be with Tom any day. Her moral standards as a lower class woman were shown in her behavior and morality. As a woman, this demonstrates the difference in high class and lower class women

Myrtle portrayed the lower middle-class of the story, and she loved others by their wealth. Myrtle loved the diner things if life which she received from Tom Buchanan, and resented her actual husband because he could not provide these things for her. Myrtle, along with the other women characters, portray women of the '20s to be selfish and shallow.
