In the book, Emperor Pickletine Rides the Bus by Tom Angleberger, the story takes place in Macquarie Midle School and eventually Washington D.C. where the kids take a field trip. The main kids are Tommy, Kellen, Dwight, Lance, Sara, and Amy. They all have been brave throughout their middle school years by fighting Principal Rabbski but in this book they are fighting Harvey and his Emperor Pickletine. They all struggle through the field trip (which has a no origami rule) and eventually make it through.

In my book The Last Kids On Earth by Max Brallier, Jack Sullivan ventures in the unknown as he tries to find his friends Quint Baker and June Deltoro. And complete his ultimate feat ever…defeat BLARG who’s giant lizard beast with green goo dripping from its razor sharp teeth and it makes a super loud “blarg” sound when it roars.

THE CLIMAX

When Jack Sullivan found his “damsel in distress” also known as June Deltoro, he must distract BLARG while he “rescues” her. As they trudge through an army amount of zombies he catches a ride from his newly apocalyptic pet dog. They ricochet off of the big DOZER MONSTERS. Jack yells “ROVER SLOW DOWN!” Rover is there name of there dog.

MY OPINION ON THIS BOOK

This book is a great book to read if your into adventures. Even though this book does carry some horror to the cover of the book, it is mostly all fun and games. Once Jack Sullivan completed his ultimate feat to kill blarg and save June Del Toro. They even convince June to come to the tree house and help them defend other monsters and zombies. So that’s by I recommend The Last Kids On Earth.

SUGGESTING MY BOOK

When is comes to suggesting this book to other readers, I would give this book a…5 star review! During the last few years I always try to search for a nice book. I always took me a while to find something a step up from the diary of a wimpy kid books. And this book is definitely a better step up, from having twice as many pages and each page feels way more appealing this was definitely the book for me. For other readers who are interested in realistic fiction. This is an 8-15 year old book.

In the story, the girl in the locked room by Mary Downing Hahn, the setting seemed to be in oak hill, Oak hill is a small town with an old house. This house is abandoned and had people murdered in it. Most of the people in Oak hill are afraid of the house. A lot of weird but mysterious things happen when two girls discover what looks like a little girl in one of the locked rooms in the house. My characters are Maisie, Jules and Lilly (the girl ion the locked room)some responses to the setting are frightened and curious of what other things they could find.

Some of the things they could find, for example, is a bunch of dolls. In my book Jules finds a bunch of dolls buried under ground. She would place them in an order, biggest to smallest. This example shows what mysteries or weird stuff they encounter.

At the end of the story it states how they went into a different realm or world of an event before they met lily. When they went back into time to change the decathlon of lily's parents, many people were killed or murdered. A set of characters named mr. Bailey, Dixon and aunt Nellie were in a part of this. For example mr. bailey tries to kill lily’s father for all of there money. While on the other hand aunt Nellie shoots her husband, or mr. Bailey, to save the Bennett family.

I would rate this book a solid 3.5. This is because it wasn’t as scary as u thought it was. I even almost cried at one point. I would recommend this to teens or even pre-teens, or people who love realistic fiction crossed with a little of mystery. Like in the first part of the paragraph, its not what i was expecting.

Don’t forget to like and leave a comment bellow.

In the book Paper Wishes by Lois Sepahban Manami has to travel from her home island to a different island because her home is not safe anymore. The island is isolated and only has a school and houses. Manami does not like it here but this is her new home. Manami, a hardworking, kind, warm hearted, introverted girl must figure out how to live on this island and like it. Manami has not spoken since she left her home island. she barely even looks at people and sometimes communicates by writing but mostly communicates by her pictures she draws.

Minami has to flee her home island to a new island that she calls “prison camp” in the california desert. Minami and her family has to leave because their home island is no longer safe for them. Minami does not want to leave and is sad she has to. Even worse they have to leave their dog Yujjin behind.

In my opinion, i think this is a really good book. It is easy to read and understand. The author does a really good job on explaining the main character minami and her family’s feelings. Events happen that affect people in this book and these events are interesting and very well explained. The author also explains very well how these events affected the characters.

In the book Camp by Kayla Miller, the story takes place at Camp Acorn Lake. In the beginning two girls, Olive and Willow are driving to the bus to get to camp. Both girls are very excited but willow feels a bit nervous as well. The main character Olive is very adventurous and eager to go to camp, she is nice to everyone and makes many new friends at camp.

Once Olive and willow get to camp both girls are having a good time but Willow only wants to hang out with Olive, but Olive wants to hangout with other friends she made at camp. They get in a fight and both girls go off with their own friends. Willow hangs out with kids in her band while Olive hangouts with other girls in their cabin. Willow feels homesick and wishes she had her best friend Olive to help her but she doesn’t tell Olive how she feels.

In my opinion I think this is a good book, however the book was a bit to easy because it’s a graphic novel. It wasn’t confusing but it was kinda predictable. The ending was pretty good but I predicted it would happen. My favorite part was probably when the girls were having fun together doing all the fun activities at camp. A connection I made to the book is how the girls are really good friends like me and my best friend, the authors style of writing is realistic fiction because this didn’t actually happen but it could happen.

I would rate this book 3.5 stars out of 5 just because it was kinda too easy for me and it was pretty predictable. I would recommend this book to younger readers probably around 4th or 5th grade who enjoy realistic fiction.

In the book “Half a World Away” by Cynthia Kadohata, is based in American and Kazakhstan, Jaden and his parents, Penny and Steve. travel to Kazakhstan to adopt a new child. They thought they were adopting a child named Bazakhstan, but he ended up getting adopted by a German couple without Penny or Steve knowing. The author describes the place they’re staying in as a brick hotel, creepy and edgy. Jaden goes on many adventures with a woman name Akerke, they flew eagles, and even rode on camels. Jaden goes through many troubles like, being a bad kid, getting in trouble, locking himself in shis room, but most recently, it’s with his parents. They want to adopt a baby, but Jaden wants to adopt a toddler named Dimash. They work through these troubles over and over but no matter what Jaden wants to adopt the toddler.
After this, Jaden gets sadder and sadder that his parents won’t adopt Dimash, he goes on more trips with a Sam and Akerke. They continue going to the adoption home and keep seeing Dimash. Taking care of this new babies hard, not only for Penny and Steve, but for Jaden too. The baby spends hours on end sobbing and crying. Jaden paces back and fourth while this is happening trying to get him to calm down. After hours he can hear penny and Steve talking, and they walk into his room and say, “we have some news..”
I like the book because of how much the author showed his emotions. They really played it with apart of electricity and how he acts, not just how he feels. I also like the book because of how he’s an independent character instead of a dependent one. He has a lot of personality and a lot of emotion, some times he shows anger and other times he shows happiness.

I would recommend this to people in the age span from 10 to 14, it goes into depth about mental health and things like that. If you like this book you may want to watch or read Anne With An E. I would rate this book an 11/10, it was really fun reading it! I wish it wouldve included what happened after they adopted th original baby and Dimash

A horse called Hero

A horse called Hero takes place In the middle of world war ll with a boy named wolfie, he was adventurous but shy, he lived in the city in the beginning. Now hr moved out to the countryside to get away from the war, with his older sister Dodo. They came across a foal in the woods. Wolfie took him to the barn at wistlewind stables an abandoned barn. He names the Foal hero, wolfie and the foal are becoming best friends and love each other

what I summarize in the book is that their are two kids, dodo and wolfie. The kids grew up in the city of London. Their father got sent off to war. Things got fierce, the housekeeper had to send the kids away to the countryside to keep them safe. They find a foal that had lost its mother so they took it in. Wolfie grew close to the foal very quickly. The original home they got sent to didn’t like the maintenance it took to care for them, so they sent found a new home that they are just settling into. The people except that he has a foal and let him keep it. Their father ran away from the war and now has been caught and being charged that makes it very hard on the kids.

My opinion on the book is that it is a great book and I would love to read more books by him. The book has a lot of information about the scenes and the way the characters face problems or find problems. It would definitely be a good book for 11-12 year olds to even adults it has some harder to understand or read language that could be harder for young people to read as well. It was kind of hard to understand for me at points. My favorite part of the book would have been when he was wondering through a pasture of trees looking fit the mare he was trying to save but when he finds the mare she had passed after giving birth to the foal and when he protects the foal from harm.

I would rate this book a 3 out of 5, it is a good book but it needs a bit more detail added to it. it is hard to understand what happened and in the beginning the author did I explain much she just jumped into the book and problems. This book would be best for a 11-12 to any age past that. Unless a young kid can read pretty good it would be hard to understand some of the language they use or the way they explained everything.

In the book Star Wars Jedi Academy Return Of The Padawan by Jeffery Brown, the story takes place in a Jedi academy where Roan, a kind young boy needs to stand up to the bully named Cronah to protect his friends and pass the piloting test. But he has to face fearsome challenges on the way and focus on the force to guide him on the right path to succeed to become the Jedi/pilot he always wanted to become.

How the climax starts is when Roan was sitting with bullies and the bullies threw a pepper at Roan’s best friend Pasha, and he was upset. He threw food back at roan and then started a giant food fight. Secondly they went to the principals office and got in trouble because of the food fight. Then after that Roan and Pasha were matched up in the light saber fencing. When the climax begins Roan and pasha use anger for their light saber fencing instead of trusting the force, because anger leads to hate and hate leads to the dark side.

The ending was cool because his best friend Pasha won the fencing and Roan was happy for him. After that Roan apologized to Pasha, and Roan got back together with Gianna. and got way better grades after the school year. But he has to go with the teacher Mr. G. And Roan hates Mr. G. So in my opinion the climax was awesome and fearsome and shows that always hang out with good friends not bad ones.

I would rate my book a 4.5 out of 5 stars because it shows a good plot of Star Wars and gives me good thoughts and emotions like excitement and surprising parts in the book. If you enjoy Star Wars you should definitely read this book. I would say kids from 8-13 would definitely enjoy it just like I do. If you love sci-if books then this book is definitely for you.

The one thing that she is trying very hard to hide is her mother’s rapid fall into chronic depression, leaving her bedridden and not able to be there for Ollie. She will stop at nothing to ensure that she gets her dad back and saves her mom before anyone find out, and makes it, what she thinks it would be, worse.

In the novel The One and Only Bob by Kathrine Applegate at The Park. The park is an animal sanctuary with Bobs friends Ivan the silverback gorilla and Ruby the elephant. Bob is a very kind a loving dog and loves his life. Bob lives in Julia’s home, Julia is bobs owner.
Now there is a hurricane warning from the news that says it will come tomorrow, Bob was used to these because that happen all the time because it was hurricane season. But all goes wrong. There is a tornado that comes in as Bob and his owner Julia are at The Park. Bob hears a bark a, bark he will always remember, it’s his sisters. Bob hasn’t seen his sister in many years he must find his sister in the middle of the flooding and storm of the hurricane.
I i like The One and Only Bob because it show a lot of emotion and feelings from the characters. The book was a little confusing when bob or someone else from the story would talk about someone in a break in the story but would not tell me anything about who it was so I wouldn’t know who it was. The book was pretty believable and though animal could talk the animals could only talk to other animals so that mad lots of sense. I with the ending would have not left me on a huge cliffhanger. My favorite part of the story was when bob heard his sisters bark for the first time in like five years. I also liked when bob went to see ruby and Ivan at The Park and bob and ruby have this thing where ruby would always tell bob a joke when he can to The Park for example ruby tell bob this “Do you want to hear a new riddle, Uncle Bob?” And bob says “ Of course I do”.

I would rate The One and Only Bob a 9.4 out of ten. I would recommend this book to 6 to 15 year old because it have lots of fantasy and talking animals but still has stuff that could happen to people in the real world. I recommend you read One and Only Ivan before you read this book. One of the movies you should watch after these books is The One and Only Ivan on Disney plus. The genre of this book is fantasy with talking animals but real life things that happen just i a dogs perspective.

An eleven year old boy name Paul. Lives in France in a small village he had a rough time through the war when the natzis invaded them they where in a group with the resistance. He is fearsome he is fighting and going with his teacher Mr Leon to draft and destroy all of the natzi weapons he gets caught and just keeps getting back up and escaping. During the war they hide in a castle hat is made out of brick and is starting to crumble. And fade away there are about twenty members that work in there to stope the natzi Allies they try to help in the war as much as they can. Paul and his furious teacher Mr. Leon spent all day waiting in finding out where the Nazis hidden weapons so they can go out at night and plant c4 in there weapons. For when they try to shoot down but actually there weapons will blow them self up they plant there c4 in there weapons and once they places it they heard sounds of planes coming in they new what it was the war it,s starting thousand of natzi come out of the bunker Paul gets smacked on the face and wakes up with natzis around him suddenly and explosions knokes every one down it his time to escape. In My opinion I love the book it is slow and easy going in full of action I personally like actions but it is very easy to fallow it was not confusing it wasn’t predictable and there was a lot of hard events I think I could relate to the characters I relate to this style of writing some examples are how they write about the war I like how they roll back or in both parts or how they show what they did after the war.

In the book It Sounded better in my head by Nina Kenwood. The story takes place in Melbourne, wintertime, some time after Christmas. Natalie, a teenage girl, who and her friends Zach, Lucy, Owen, and Alex. Her parents are getting divorced and her dads moving away. She’s facing problems like puberty, party’s, parents divorce, crushes, school, and finding her true identity.
Natalie gets invited to a party by her friends brother. She goes to the party, she doesn’t feel like she fits in. The only people she knows are Alex and Owen. She wants to seem like she belongs, so she brings up the idea of spin the bottle. Alex spins the bottle and it lands on Natalie. He says he wants her to be comfortable and he doesn’t do anything. He kisses her on the cheek though. She decides she wants to leave and so she says bye. Alex is confused why she’s leaving so early. He
asks for her number so she can text him when she gets home.
Zach and Lucy are not happy that she was playing spin the bottle. She didn’t tell them that she kissed Alex though. Alex gave Natalie a ride home, and it was very awkward. He said that he would give her ride whenever she needed it.

This book is very good! The only thing is it can get a little bit inappropriate at times and has some curse words. It’s not a big deal though. It’s very relatable and is VERY detailed on Natalie’s feelings and actions. This book has great metaphors that make sense and are useful to the story.

This book is great for a tweens and teenagers because it has events that a lot of teens can relate to. It’s very entertaining and has lots of interesting events. I would recommend this to someone who is interested in realistic fiction. I would rate this book a 3.5.

Realistic Fiction: Hatchet

This book takes place in the northern woods of Canada. A boy named Brian crashed into a lake and is now seeking for shelter, food, and water.
First is currently eating berries from bushes, and is soon going to build a shelter along the rocks of the L shaped lake. Next he started felling sick and weak from the berries. Lastly he has been sitting and sleeping on a big pine tree on the lake being fried by the sun and feeling his headache from the crash.
My opinion on the book is negative and positive. I feel this way because it is a little bit difficult to understand. I like it because I feel like I can relate to the character. I also like the book because it takes place in the woods, and I like to camp in the woods. My favorite part of the story is when he crashes, because I think that this is the climax of the story.
I would rate Hatchet 3.5 ⭐️s. I would recommend this book for people who love page turners, and not knowing what is going to happen next. It takes place in a small propeller airplane, and then Brian and the pilot has a heart attack, and they crash into a lake. Brian has to overcome many obstacles, so if you like suspenseful willderness books, I would highly recommend Hatchet. P.S. It really gets good around chapter 5.

The story takes place in a big castle called hogwarts where a character called Harry Potter who is a wizard. The main character is Harry Potter. Harry Potters qualities are he is funny, smart, and cool. He has a lot of conflict with his aunt and uncle because they don’t treat him good or nice. This book is a really good book to read before you watch the movie because it has more information then the movie dose but to the people who don’t like reading this book has over 800 pages. I would recommend you read this book.

So harry gets caught using his wand and is going to get it taken away. First he decides if he is going to stay at his house or leave. Next he keeps getting letters till he gets on from a friend to stay at his house. Next he leaves and goes to his friends house where the order of the phoenix will meet. Then he got surprised and finds something.

I like this book because I like Harry Potter. I like him because I fell like he is kind of like me and he kind of looks like me. Some things that I don't like about this book is the weird chapter titles. Why I don't like them is that they are confusing and are just weird. One question that I have about the book is why is it so long?

I would recommend this book to people who have read the other books or have seen the movies because the books have more info in them than the movies. This book is a good book if you like wizards if you read fantasy books. This book is a good book to read if you like long books or if you want something to do for a long period of time. So that is my recommendation of this book and I would give this book a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

The grass is non existent it is dried up and all dead. Bruno is the boy that lives in that house with his family. Bruno is very curios boy, one day he was looking around and found a camp with hutches and men in grey striped pajamas were in the camp. But Bruno also hates it at the house because they just moved from the Berlin country side and their house was supper nice, now it’s not so nice.

Summary
Bruno and his family lived in Berlin in the time of World War Two. But all of the sudden they decided to move to out with. Bruno is really mad that he is there and doesn’t like it one bit. But Bruno gets a little bit curios about what is around and in his new house. When Bruno is snooping around he stumbles across a camp with hutches and a bunch of men and boys in grey striped pajamas doing work in the fields. Bruno is insanely curios now and is determined to find out why they are there.

Opinion
Even tho I haven’t finished this book yet I really like it so far. It has some plot twists in it and also has good characters and those characters have good personalities. I like the way the other writes it is almost like you are there right in Berlin watching the family, the author is very descriptive with his words. One of my favorite parts of the book so far is when Bruno shows greets the boys and men in the striped pajamas, I liked it because it was very suspenseful. The book level is also pretty easy for a middle school aged kid. That is my opinion on this The Boy in Striped Pajamas.

Recommendation
I would recommend this book to a middle school aged reader. This book is filled with action and exiting turns. I would give this book a 4 out of 5 stars. I think that any middle schooler would enjoy this if they liked historical fiction. I would recommend this book.

In the book Lizzy Legend by Matthew Ross Smith the story takes place in the school playground and professional basketball courts where she will play games and practice. In the beginning of the book we see Lizzy imagining that she is pro and playing with her favorite player but then it all fades back to the old beat up playground. Lizzy is a very motivated girl and is always trying to get better in every way. A conflict Lizzy faces is not being able to play on the boys team but that conflict is quickly resolved when the coach makes a special request to the league to let her play. Another conflict she faces later in the book is that her power that lets her never miss gets reversed, and they haven’t found a solution to that yet. Lizzy is a very persistant girl who is willing to put in the effort who has to go threw the challenge of being pro as a 13 year old girl. I would recommend this to anyone who like pretty calm and inspiring books.

Lizzy has a magical power where she can’t miss. So she makes a professional team because her shot is so good. In a matter of a few days Lizzy has a ton of fans and every reporter wants to interview her. She got her power from a wish she made threw her phone when she got what she thought was a spam call. She thought she had one more wish, but when she tried to use her second wish it said she got a text saying reversed.

I like the book Lizzy legend by Mathew Ross Smith. One reason i like Lizzy legend is because I can relate to the main character because we both like basketball. I think the book was the correct reading legal for me. One of my favorite parts was when she lost her power because it was a intense climax. I really like the authors writing style amend would recommend this book to people that want a pretty chill fun book.

I would record Lizzy legend to an age group of 8 to 14. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend this to people who like more laid back book. There’s not a lot of big twists and drama. And I would recommend this to people girls who like basketball because it’s kinda motivating to show a girl can be just as good as the boys. And lastly for me I would rate this 4 out of 5 stars.

The book Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix takes place at Harry’s aunt and uncles house on Privet Drive. His aunt and uncle are required to keep Harry to protect him from harm. One night Harry’s aunt and uncle and their son Dudley decide to go out. While they’re out a group of wizards he knows go’s into the house and asks that Harry packs and leaves immediately.

This book is an overall great read, I like this book because of the descriptions the author gives and the vivid images that make me imagine the book. The book was not confusing in any way, I got stuck into it when I was reading and it was like I zoned out. The book wasn’t predictable, for me at least because this was my first time reading the Harry Potter series so I had no idea what was going to happen next. My favorite part (so far) was when Harry was flying in the sky with the group of wizards. The descriptions the author gave made me feel like I was outside in the cold during the winter, walking my way across the streets.

First, Harry is sitting in a flower bed and hears strange noises coming from the neighborhood so he try’s to investigate. Second, Harry stumbles upon Dudley and his gang walking on the streets. After that he walks up to Dudley when his friend leaves, is rude to him, then they are ambushed by dementors but Harry fights them off. Third, Dudley tells his parents (Harry’s Aunt and Uncle) that Harry used magic and his Uncle decides he wants him out of his house. During this a note falls from the chimney wrote for his Aunt saying that Harry must stay. Lastly, his Aunt and Uncle leave with Dudley to go out, after they leave a group of wizards (whom he knows) enter the house and asks that Harry leaves immediately for his court case.

I would recommend this to Harry Potter fans and fantasy lovers because it is a great book that will get you hooked and might make you want to read the entire series. The book is very good and I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars. Thank you for reading, I hope you found this book review helpful.

The Night Child by T.M. Palecki is set in medieval times on the imaginary island of Elvoy. The village that the main character Esta, a young girl with the power to read other people emotions, as well as animals, lives in is a small and homey farming and fishing village along their pebbly beaches and cliffs. The entire island is surrounded by woods, with many creatures and beautiful foliage inside. Back to Esta, there are rumors that have spread off of the island about her power, but they say that she can control people. A war lord, Lord Guth, hears of these softly spoken rumors and travels out to find Esta so that she may help him with something unknown. Esta is now forced with the option to leave her people safe and put her life in danger, or take a risk and double cross the warlord.

In the beginning of the book, Esta finds a severely injured owl, shot down by a farmer. The owl was carrying an owlet, and she decides to take it in. As Mane, the owlet, grows up, Esta teaches her more. One day, while Esta is walking in the near woods with Mane, she sees two boys on their cobs (small horses). One is laughing while the other is picking himself off the ground. Mane accidentally spooks the lone cob and it takes off running. As the boy confronts Esta, Erik, the other boy, breaks them up and sends Roan on his way. Erik and Esta go out to look for the cob, and once they find it they start making their way back to Roans house, where they find that he’s been sent off. They go out searching for him and find him in a little hut that Erik and him had built years ago. They end up having to spend the night there and leave in the morning for their homes. As they are riding to Esta’s home, she gets off the cob and senses something ahead. Her mother is sending her emotions trying to tell her what happened. There is death. They bolt back to the shelter and try to make sense of what happened. Esta comes to the conclusion that her father as well as Erik’s, have passed. Roan comes up with a plan to dress as Esta would and sail out in his fathers boat to lure away the warriors. While he would do this, Esta would lure other warriors through the forest while Erik helps free their people. As Roan swims out and climbs on the boat, he unties the rope and sails off. The men from the beach think that it’s Esta and follow. Esta catches the attention of the men guarding their people and holding them captive, and teases them into following her through the forest. A few warriors are left behind to guard, and Erik uses this as his chance to charge. The villagers end up breaking the door they were trapped behind and assist Erik in the battle. They end up winning as the other warriors come back and they win that to. Roan is not doing as well, the boats are catching up rapidly. He decides to take a risk and cut between 2 islands, hoping that only his boat would fit. With some struggle, he manages to barely shoot the gap and head back to Elvoy with the men far behind him. Once Roan returns to the island, Esta, Erik and Roan all decide to wait until the men come back to bargain for freedom and figure out how to get them to leave the island. While Roan and Erik plan, Esta has already made up her mind to give her self up. When Lord Guth and his men return to their island, Erik threatens Lord Guth, and says he will plan an attack on Guth island. While Erik and Esta are preoccupied with this, Roan and his younger brother Landen, are being pushed toward a boat, and with that Lord Guth leaves with Roan and Landen trapped. As all the villagers start tending to the wounded once again, Esta is still down on the beach. Erik goes to talk to her, and she tells him of her plan. Erik starts to defend the idea that she can’t go, but she is sure. Erik makes it sure that he will go with her for he can’t think to let her go alone. As they pack a few things, Clare, Esta’s mother, says that she will go for she can not bare to stand another second on the island which her husband died upon. As they set sail, the villagers try to convince them to reconsider, but they are firm. As they are on the open sea, a boat sails towards them and it’s Lord Guth’s men. They pull the boat in tow, and head for Guth’s island. Once they arrive, they are in awe of the delicate architecture all over the town. They are led to a room with more beautiful and intricate designs. Esta is inspecting the rug, Clare is inspecting the walls, and Erik is pacing while staring hard at the door. They eventually get led out. And that’s where I am now.

I would rate this book 4.5 out of 5. The book is awesome and super descriptive. I just don’t understand some of the language used and I wish there was a glossary in the back.

I would recommend this book to ages 9-14, if you like historical things, and fantasy powers, I think this is a great book for you!

The main setting in my book or the first setting is the football field. Caleb is the freshman quarter back and that can be very stressful. Everyone follows him like little ducklings and if they lose a game everyone blames it on him. I know you’re wondering why is he always blamed for everything? It’s because the quarter back is the main position of football. They destroyed the first team they played and has gone 3-0

Caleb springer is a freshman quarterback. First, he joined the football team and made a lot of new friends. Second he had some problems with friends but worked them out. Third Caleb’s team started of really good in the season. Finally he had a big opportunity.

I think this book is awesome. I just love how the author writes. Just the way he explains things and things like that. I find this book very relatable because I play football too. My dad is also a lot like his dad. My dad hates it when I’m too cocky just like his dad. Although I’m not a quarter back like Caleb is, I’m a wide receiver. I find the book very fun to read and exiting to read.

My favorite part of the story is probably when he proves his dad wrong. His dad said that he can only use the plays that the coach sends out, but he didn’t. He did a fake. He acted like he was going to pass but he faked and ran the ball. It worked so his dad gave him more privileges. I would rate this book 4.5 out of 5. It is a great book and I would recommend this book to people who like football and sports.

In my book clash, this takes place at school there. The main characters are Nat,Olive,Ava,willow. There is a new girl and the
main character Olive wants to be her friend. The new girl nat is unsure but Olive is being super nice to her and nat is jealous of all the friendships that Olive has. Nat is really mean and is disrespectful to olive but nice to all of her other friends. I

In the middle of the book there is a Halloween party at Olive’s house and she invited the whole class including Nat. Everyone was having a really fun time and enjoying themselves! Then Nat wanted to go tick or treating and she said “who wants to go trick or treating with me!?!” But this party was not a trick or treating party this was a hang out. Then Olive’s mom came out and said “ whoa where do you think your going” and Nat said “we are going trick or treating what do you think” and Olive’s mom said “well you will have to call your parents first”. A couple minutes later Bang!

This book was pretty good, I would recommend it! You could kind of predict what happens, but it’s still pretty good. Draper, the story takes place with Isabella (the main character) switching between her dads house and her moms house, the author explains that her moms house is the same small shack that she grew up in. And Isabella’s dads house is much cleaner and nicer. She explains that Sundays are the worst because her and one of Isabella’s parents always meet up in front of the Apple Store to do an exchange between them, which is one of the reasons Isabella has had a hard time with her parents splitting up, she says that her parents fight over the silliest things, like when Isabella spilled blue kool-aid all over the table. But when Isabella met her parents partners she really connected with them, especially her dads girlfriend Anastasia who also plays the piano which is one Isabellas talent, she spends a lot of time with her instructor, so she can prepare for her recital.

In the book Divergent by Veronica Roth, it takes place in a city with five different factions. In the beginning of the book the author tells us how five factions all live in different places throughout the city and how each faction is different. The city has a massive tall building in the middle and has all the factions and destroyed buildings surrounding it, this is where Beatrice lives. Beatrice, a sixteen year old girl that gets divergent results on her faction test has to choose a faction but with the problem of not knowing where she fits in.

After Beatrice chooses her faction which she chose dauntless, which is the brave, her new faction trains all the initiates and ranks them. They are getting trained and ranked for shooting a gun, fighting, and how they respond to a simulation of there fears, if in the end there not in the top ten they will be kicked out of the faction and be faction less. Beatrice ranks first and gets to stay in the faction along with her friends but later she awakes to all of the dauntless sleepwalking but are actually getting controlled by the dauntless and erudite, which is the intelligent, to go and invade the other faction abnegation, which is the selfless. This is the start of the war.

I really liked reading this book, it was very interesting to read and I like the way the author writes. My favorite part of the book would probably be the relationship ship between Tobias (the dauntless trainer) and Beatrice because it was interesting to read about how they are trying to figure each other out and how they are building a stronger relationship with each other, it reminds me of how we are all trying to figure each other out in friendships and other relationships and how we are always building stronger relationships. The author gives a very good, clear description of people and places, she makes the book feel real and clear, it was perfect level to read.

I give this book 5 out 5 stars because it has a great storyline and is really interesting, it gives lots of detail and makes you feel connected to the characters and understand how there feeling and thinking. The age group for reading this book would probably be about 12 and older, it’s more of a teen or young adult book. If you like Harry Potter or the hunger games, this would definitely be a good book to read.

It is a fictionalized version of medieval Norway. In the beginning the author describes the village and the woods. Esta , a girl in the village has a power to read people emotions, as well as animals. She lives in a small fishing and honey farming village along their pebbly beach’s and cliffs.
In the first chapters of the story Esta catches an owlet And took him home to take care of. She named him Mane. One day when Esta is walking in the woods with Mane when a cob ( a Norwegian horse.) was startled when he saw Mane. The cob bucked Roan off and ran away. When Roan returned to Elovoy he snuck back into his house but failed. He was caught and ran off. Esta an Erik now have to find Roan.
My opinion on the novel The Night Child is good. I like how much Esta cares for Mane and how much she loves him. I love how Clare ( Esta’s mom) cares about her becoming the next healer. I think that Esta’s relation ship with Mane and that they are like brother and sister.
I would rate the novel The Night Child a 9.9 out of 10. The only reason I would rate it a 9.9 instead of a 10 is because I think that the chapters are too long. Instead of super long chapters I would rather more chapters. I think the bests age group for this book would be 11-29. I think the genre that you should be into if you ant to read this book would be fantasy.

He talks about conflict that he has experienced, as he quotes “she didn’t realize at the time I had already known 30 curse words including 3 Russian I learned from the school janitor.” I think is a bit disobedient from the start.
Through out the book he talks about a lot of conflict that he has experienced, such as the time he played in Little League. Although he lost many of his games the times they did win it they where very excited to win. Another time he was practicing on a putting, but he couldn’t get the break working on his putts so he worked on it for the rest of the day to improve his putts.
I think this book is a book that has lots of conflict.

Charise believes she is a bad sister, but is she really?
“I didn’t mean to, the badness just happened.” Charise is a young girl, about 11 or 12 years old. She is blond, with brown eyes, she is very bright, and kind. And she has younger brother names Daniel. Charise has one problem she often hurts Daniel and not always intentionally. She feels guilty about everything and she can’t stand to look at her brother without remembering what she did. She try’s to fix her mistakes yet she knows “sorry” can’t fix it any more. This book is very enjoyable and quite relatable. I recommend reading this book.

Charise is always hurting Daniel, not always intentionally thought. When they are riding bikes, when they play hockey, Daniel always gets hurt. And soon later Charise realized she isn’t a bad sister she’s just way to rough with Daniel.
And that not everything is her fault all the time.

In my opinion I really enjoy this book. Because it’s just like me and my brother, and it makes me realize that I am almost they the same. Sometime Charise is mean, I don’t think she realizes it but she will often feel bad afterwards. I really like this book and recommend it. I rate this a 4.3 stars ⭐️

In the book New Moon by Stephanie Meyer takes place in a small town called Forks in Washington. In the start Bella a young woman who is quiet has a strong desire to become a vampire, but no one supports her. She is separated from the only person she is able to understand Edward. Her desire to to be vampire causing her to lose him, and she doesn’t know what to do.

First Bella starts seeing things, she thinks that putting her self in danger will help her to see him. she tries to be normal and do normal things but she can’t stop thinking about him. Then she starts doing reckless things like talk to a group of men that followed her, and tried to attack her. Lastly she goes home and doesn’t tell her dad about what happened, and he thinks there is something wrong with her.

My opinion about the book New Moon is that I like it. I like this book because it has a interesting plot. The book is a little difficult to read because of the reading level, but isn’t to bad. My favorite part of my book so far is a part in the book where Edward reveals himself to Bella’s grandmother. I do recommend this book.

I give the book New Moon 3 out of 5 stars. I give my book this rating because it moves very slow, for example around five chapters into the book you still don’t know the conflict. I would suggest the readers to be at least 12 years old to read this book , I would also recommend for readers who like long term fantasy books.

In the book My Family for the War by Anne C. Voorhoeve takes place in Berlin, Germany in 1938 and the main character is in an underground tunnel by her parents apartment building were her and her family lives. The main character is named Ziska and she is Jewish and is very scared at the start and is very shy and not really out there yet. In the book her problem is she isn’t safe because in that time Jewish people weren’t safe do to the Nazis and the people that didn’t like her because of her being Jewish.

Ziska or Frances is in England with her “family” that is taking care of her. Then, she goes to a gymnasium to watch a movie that one of her guardians is hosting and she meets one of her old friends from the train. And he is acting really weird around her guardian like he doesn’t trust the friend. And this sets Ziska off a bit a doesn’t know what’s happening. Last, she goes home like nothing happened even though something did happen.

The book My Family of the War by Anne C. Voorhoeve is a really phenomenal book. This book is believable and is not confusing it doesn’t hav very long extensive words. Also the story is like you fall into the shoes of the character and you feel her and her emotions. And my favorite part is when she faces her fear at the beginning and jumped out of her house and went into a tree to save her life. Lastly, the author when she writes she captures the characters situation and area she’s in and is very descriptive.

What I would rate this book on a scale of 0-5 is 4.5 stars. And why for this is this book didn’t make me keep on reading it for a long period of time so I would get bored. But if you’re a person who is patient and can read for a long period of time. And if you like historical fiction or even realistic fiction you will love this.

Twice Upon A Time: Beauty and the Beast, The Only One Who Didn’t Run Away

The book Twice Upon A Time: Beauty and the Beast, The Only One Who Didn’t Run Away is realistic fiction, it takes place in a small town surrounded by creepy, dark, chilling woods. It starts with a girl named Beauty, she is the youngest sibling, she is jealous of her sister’s beauty and wishes her sister had the name Beauty not her. When her house burns down she is forced to start a new life for her family. The other side of the story is about a boy named Riley, he loves to study stars, he is a second born royal, and is also jealous of his brother for being good at everything. His setting is around the same as Beauty’s, a small town surrounded by creepy, dark, chilling woods. The only difference is he lives in a castle farther away from the small town.

When Beauty is trying to find a job she meets a boy named Handsome who helps her find a job. A little girl named Veronica, a friend of Handsome, gets both of them to meet her grandpa. He is afraid to send Veronica into the woods alone because of fairytales, they both believe they are real. Will Beauty and Handsome go on the journey with Veronica? Riley and his family are on their way to the spring ball when it starts raining. There carriage gets stuck in the mud, they go out into the woods on horses to find water, they find a canal and Riley’s family jokes around about what Riley would look like as a beast with a stranger they found in the woods. He gets cursed as the beast his family was describing and the only way to break the curse is for a girl to fall in love with him, the giant, scary, beast in only 3 months. Will someone fall in love with him?

In Twice Upon A Time: Beauty and the Beast, The Only One Who Didn’t Run Away, I felt like the book was exciting and kept readers on the edge of their seats. For example, the author would leave cliffhangers at the end of each chapter. I thought this book was a good level for me, not to hard but not really easy. A connection I made with this book and other books is first, there was two different perspectives, Riley’s and Beauty’s. Another thing I found in common with this book and other books was a tragic event happened right as the story started for example, Beauty’s house burns down and she has to start a new life for her family.

I haven’t finished my book yet but if I had to rate it so far I would rate it a 4.5, the reason I rated it this is because I like how the author describes the feelings of the characters, this helps me understand what the characters would be like. Another reason why I like this book is because the author leaves cliffhangers after each chapter, this makes me want to keep reading. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery, and multiple character perspectives.

In the book Hatchet by Gary Paulson there is a smart, kind, brave kid named Brian Robeson. Brian is on a plane in the Canadian forest going to see his dad when the pilot has a heart attack out of nowhere and falls to the ground dead. So Brian has to fly the plane but the plane crashes in the forest in the middle of nowhere. Brian crashes by a L shaped lake where there are trees surrounding him. Brian doesn’t know what to do so all he does is wait for a rescue plane to come save him, but it has been days and no one has came for him.

There is a bear that Brian encounters, so Brian runs away but the bear isn’t chasing him cause the bear just don’t care. Then Brian realizes that the bear wasn’t there for him, instead the bear was there to eat berries from the berry bush by Brian’s shelter.

Brain is currently in a cave and he hears weird noises in the cave with him. Scratching, rattling, and animal noises.
But then he gets this sharp pain in his leg, but Brian can see anything because it’s nighttime. He starts putting pressure on his leg immediately and feels his leg and a porcupine hit his leg. Finally Brian has a dream about his dad and his uncle having a bbq and eating hotdogs and having chips and he wakes up and the porcupine is still next to him and he try’s to hit it with his hatchet but misses and when hitting the rock wall a spark sparks up and that give Brian an idea to make a fire. Or at least attempt to.

In my opinion, I would rate Hatchet by Gary Paulson a solid 4.5/5 because I’m really into survival books. This book kinda reminds me about Cast away (2000) because Brian gets stranded in the middle of now where and has to survive. This book I would recommend for anyone that like survival and realistic fiction books.

She now has a new job at the Bureau of Supernatural Affairs. Her brother Quinton when missing after getting a new job at the Bureau of Supernatural Affairs and Amari is now on the hunt to figure out what happened to him and she will not stop until she knows he is alive.

Amari’s brother went missing 3 months ago when she gets a note from her brother. After receiving the letter she is nominated for the moonstone award at a new magical summer camp her brother went missing at. She finds out it is the highest ranking and there is only 14 moonstone handed out. She is just waiting to find out more about her brother.

This book is a fun and magical book. You can not predict what is going to happen next which I think is a good key thing about a book. The book is not hard to read but not easy because it is a chapter book. The book is not confusing at all. It is a good book for people who like magic and or mystery.

I recommend this book for people who like mystery and magic. It has two different worlds the supernatural and the regular world I think this makes it more like able. I would give it a 5/5 stars because it has mystery and I like mystery.

In the book the door by the staircase, written by Katherine Marsh, a girl named Mary was adopted from an abusive orphanage and moved into a new, seemingly magical town by her new caretaker, Madame Z. Mary is a curious, inquisitive, shy girl who loves knowing the answers. Iris, the magical town, was filled with magicians, illusionists, healers, and unexplainable tricks. She was living well, a life she had always dreamed of, until Mary realizes that there is something… off about Madame Z. She soon after realizes that Madame Z is actually a witch from Russian folklore named Baba Yaga, who loves to eat children. But, being a reader herself, she knows that occasionally, Baba Yaga will help children. She goes on a journey with her newfound friend Jacob, hoping to save her own life.

Mary has just flew into the forest with Jacob, her friend, because they have decided to catch the firebird. Mary now knows that Madame Z is a witch, and despite the witches vow, Mary is still nervous she will change her mind and harm Mary. Mid mary and her friend can catch the firebird, they both will be granted a wish. Mary wants this wish to ensure her safety, while her friend only wants a home. But, mary used the peach to fly, breaking a promise to Madame Z. After catching the firebird, Mary flew out of the forest, running into Madame Z. Madame Z is furious, but Mary is terrified. What is she changed her mind? What if she wanted to harm Mary?

I kinda liked this book. I have read it before years ago, and remember really enjoying it, but it was very childish and no longer my style of writing. It was a well written book, that would have been very interesting to someone a bit younger than me. The book wasn’t confusing, all of the plots and ideas were laid out in an order that was easy to read. It wasn’t exactly a predictable book, there were multiple unexpected plot twists. The the ending was a good one, it basically had the happily ever after kinda theme to it, no deaths of important characters or anything though. My favorite part was when Mary and Jacob fought Kochey.

My recommendation is this book is for ages 8-11 and it was alright. It was a good book, but it was for ages younger than me so it wasn’t very captivating. If you like magic and folklore this book is a good read. It has a lot of different plot twists and overall I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

In the book Wood Runner by Gary Paulsen, a boy named Samuel struggles to find his way through the Revolutionary War in search of his parents, who’ve been taken as captives for the Red Coats. In this book, Samuel travels to New York in search of his parents, not even positive if his parents are actually there. But Samuel also makes many friendships in his journey, such as a young girl named Annie whose parents have been taken away from her or an older man carrying messages to and from New York. I recommend this book for any historical book fans, and it is an excellent book for many intermediate-reading individuals.

During this book, Samuel heads to New York, where his parents are kept (or so he thinks). When he arrives, he is told his parents are being held in prisons, so they must sneak in, not get caught by the red coats. Finally, he meets his mother, but she is hurt and crippled, and so is his father; what will Samuel do? And how will he get them back to safety?

I quite personally enjoy this book because it keeps me intrigued and eager to find out what happens next. I also like this book because I can imagine I’m in the Revolutionary War just by reading. It was never hard to understand the setting as, again, I could imagine myself right there. My favorite part would probably be when Samuel is reunited with his parents, as it almost had me in tears. And I think that, in general, Gary Paulsen is a fantastic author, and I love every novel; I think his writing style is incredible.

I recommend this book for 11+ as it keeps you attached, and I never wanted to let go until I finished it. I would give this book a 4/5. My reasoning for this rating is that although it was interesting, the only thing I would add would be the character description. After all, I never knew what any of the main characters looked like, even Samuel. But besides that, this is a great book!

In the book Hatchet by Gary Paulson a kid named Brain Robeson is in a plane going to see his dad in Canada. When he is flying through the Canadian forest the pilot complains about his chest hurting and then 30 minutes later his eyes roll around his head and spit is coming down his mouth then Brain knows the pilot had a heart attack and he will need to land the plane in the forest. Brain sees a L shaped lake lands the plane in it and somehow survives when he swims out of the plane he has no idea what to do and thinks they will come for him soon but days later there not there.
He is now very hungry and needs to find food he finds some berries that he’s never heard of and eats them carelessly and ends up regretting it the next night. The next day he goes to find edible berries and succeeds and finds raspberry’s but a bear had beat him to it. Next thing you know he’s face to face
with a bear but the bear doesn’t care he keeps eating it’s berries! So Brain runs and then goes back and no more bear so he picks berries.
The berries seem to be edible and he did not get sick the next night he says the berries were actually super sweet and delicious. Now that he had gotten food figured out he had to try to get a fire! The very next night he had heard something in his shelter and then after throwing his hatchet at the sound he had a super sharp pain in his leg then the sound left and he found out a porcupine had wondered into his shelter and quilled him, so he had to get them out so he jerked on them and they came out but it still hurt. A few days later he finds out that when he threw the hatchet at the porcupine sparks had came out of it! So he thought to himself that’s how I make fire the next morning he made a little mossy bed for the sparks to fly into so first try it did not work so he made a little spot the sparks could sit in and then he swing the hatchet and they lit up into flames and he screamed “FIRE!!!!!!!!” YES!!!!!!!!!!!.”
My opinion on this book is that it is very good and very exciting. I love it when he makes accomplishments and gets super excited but a lot of the time he will get very down and even suicidal. The cool thing about this book is that there are so many times where Brain is so down on his self but his additude changes so quickly. I love this book and it is one of the best books I’ve ever read.
I recommend this book to all students in 5th grade and up this book is a 4.99999/5 for lots of people I don’t know that many people at this age group who don’t like this I think anyone who likes hunting, fishing camping and just the outdoors will love this book. I think the only time you should not read this book is when you are on a plane ha ha. Thank you for reading my report and I hope you read this book. Thanks!

In the book Heartless by Marissa Meyer, Catherine, the main character, is baking lemon tarts in her kitchen. Catherine is a sweet, wonderful girl, and an amazing cook. The lemons that she used for the lemon tarts came from her dream, at least that’s what she thinks. She is preparing for a ball currently, but as her Mom storms in, all goes wrong. She gets dressed in the tightest red velvet dress, but this is a black and white ball, hosted by the king himself.

Catherine, a young cook, is dreaming of a young boy with lemon yellow eyes, and when she wakes up, a lemon tree is sprouting under her bed, which seemed to “have came from her dream”. She starts preparing for a black and white ball, when suddenly her mom ruins her preparations and makes Catherine look how she wants her to.

I enjoy this book mainly because of how to characters act, and their personality, and their average mood. An example is how Catherine is constantly chipper and energetic, and always looks on the positive side.

I recommend this book to drama lovers, because of the high amount of drama that is in this book. Catherine and her mom argue lot and her and Marry Ann are always having great interactions, so there is always a lot of different things happening mood wise at once.

This is a book where the setting takes place in a small town (it never says where it’s placed), the main character is Nick lives with his mom and his dad has been in Iraq. He is in the military on a mission and he responds every night to his family/ Nick and his mom. But recently he has not been responding for the past three weeks and they have gotten worried. Nick goes to a private school with a really mean teacher. They went on a field trip to the woods, when they got there there was a fire and they did not want to take any chances so they left but there was a teacher that drove separately (the mean teacher her name is Mrs. Starch) and she got lost in the woods how?
You may you ask. There was a kid that has asthma and she dropped her inhaler in the woods, Mrs Starch ran back to get it she was not found yet.

Paragraph:2
So remember there was a school going on a field trip and they had to cancel it because there was a fire. The main character is Nick and his dad aphid a mission in Iraq and he used to text his family every night but he has not responded for the past 3 weeks and they are getting worried. Back to the field trip they have still not found the teacher they went to her house only to find a huge fat grey rat staring at them and her car was missing! They have a search team trying to find her and they have not found her I wonder if they will ever.

Paragraph: 3
I liked the book, I liked how the book worded things like instead of saying there was a loud boom they would have said “there was a massive sky scraping boom”- they didn’t actually have a boom.
My favorite part of the book had to be when the bully ate the teacher’s pencil it was just super unprintable and funny. I love how this book has a good plot but also gave it some fun senses in it. The book was very unprintable I did not know what happened next almost every time. And usually books relate to me in some way but in this book it did not really relate to me. But I liked the difference.

Paragraph 4
I liked the book I would give it a solid 4 what made me give this a 4 instead of a 5 was probably the cover of the book it’s called scat it did not really have any meaning of the book, how there’s a monkey cat thingy I just don’t see how that relates.
I would recommend this book if you like a funny book. I would recommend this book to 10+ years old because it had some drama and stuff but nothing like insane.

The Kiss Of Deception is a book about a girl who runs away with her best friend on the morning of her wedding day. Her fiancé goes looking for her and there is an assassin trying to kill her. The main character is Lia. Lia is super independent and kind but can stand up for herself. She has a wedding kavah on her back.

The conflict right now in the book is Lia ran away and she is trying to hide from other soldiers from other castles. Lia is struggling keeping her identity hidden from others. Lia is working at a tavern and is trying not to get in trouble with her boss.

Something I like about my book is it explains the what’s happening really well. Something I dislike about my book is it’s super slow paced and takes a while to get to the really good part of the story. I was reading and the time it took me to get from where Lia is in her castle to when she gets to the village took me a couple of days. My book is pretty easy for me to read but that’s only because I’m used to reading at this level. This book is pretty predictable. My favorite part is when Lia is walking home and these two guys from the tavern come hit on her and she kicks their buts and stands up for herself. This reminds me of a time when I was at school and kids were calling me names and I stood up for myself.

I would recommend this book because it’s a really adventurous and thrilling kind of book. I would rate this book a 4 star out of 5 stars because it starts off super slow. I would recommend people who like adventure and fantasy and some romance to read this book because it goes over those topics the whole time. I would suggest to be a young adult or in middle school for ages.

The book “the girl from the sea” by Molly Knox Ostertag takes place in a place called Wilneff island. The main character Morgan is adjusting to her new life without her dad and is trying to fit in. She has three best friends named Lizzie, Selena and Jules. They are you typical best friends fun, supportive and loving. Morgan has a secret and doesn’t know if she should tell her friends and risk them not liking her or pretend to be someone she is not.

Morgan is adjusting to a new life without her dad. She was sitting on the cliffs and crying at night when she fell in. Morgan saw her life flash before her eyes and thought this was the end. That’s when a half seal half human named, Keltie came and saved her. Morgan was shocked and thankful, and they fell in love. Morgan and Keltie kissed and with that kiss it turned Keltie into a full human. Now, Keltie is trying to save her seal family from a boat that is going to ruin their home but Morgan just wants to Keltie to blend in. Morgan is afraid of her and Keltie to stick out and be different. When Morgan’s brother Aiden spills the secret that Morgan and Keltie are dating Morgan freaks out and tries to only see Keltie in secret and avoid her friends. When her friends except her and invites her to their birthday party on a boat, Morgan decided to be OK with being different. On the boat Keltie saves her family and Morgan’s friends forgive her for keeping secrets.

In my opinion “the girl from the sea” is a fantastic book. It gives the readers a very good lesson about not being afraid to be yourself. They showed very good facial expressions for what they were feeling through the drawings. They did a good job showing whether the character is angry or annoyed. There is good setting but they could have given more detail to it. I couldn’t really understand what was the big conflict over small personal problems until the end. Even though of a few flaws over all this was an amazing book and would read it again!

I would give the book a 4 out of 5 because the plot was good and everything about the book was fantastic but it could be more descriptive. I would recommend this book for kids 10 and older. There are a few scenes where Morgan and Keltie are kissing along with that some parts of the book can be hard to understand for younger kids. This book is similar to the movie “the little mermaid” and has the same vibe to it. I would definitely recommend.

In the book Amari and the Night Brothers a Black girl named Amari who’s brother went missing got nominated to go to the same summer camp her missing brother Quinton had gone to, and when she went she got a place in the Bureau of supernatural affairs. She got a really high tank of potential on her second day there, and she’s now on the hunt to find her missing brother Quinton.

Amaris brother Quinton had went missing about 3 months ago when Amari received a special message from him that was magical. Quinton had nominated Amari to go to the same summer camp he had gone to before he went missing, and when there got the highest potential rank called the moonstone badge just like Quinton. She is now on the search to find her missing brother.

Amari and the Night Brothers is very interesting. It had a lot of twists and turns and it can be a little confusing at times but not for long. I really liked it but I can’t really relate to any of the characters. The book is exciting and fun but some of the things seem like I should’ve had to read a first book to know that these things happened and that this is the second book (some things don’t make sense.) I think that over all it’s a good book.

I think Amari and the Night Brothers probably deserves 4/5 stars. I’m giving it this rating because it’s a very good book with a lot of twists and it’s very interesting but it can be confusing at times. Also, there was a lot of dialogue in this book and sometimes they had very long dialogue and it was hard to remember if they where actually still talking because of how long their speeches where. (I know they end with the quotations but still.) I think this book is a good book for people who like mystery, and if you enjoyed Harry Potter you might like this book too. In my opinion this book would be great for 8-13 year olds.

( FYI I can’t edit mine so I’m making a new one )

In the book Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger, the story takes place in the Lost Cites, an imaginary land. In the beginning, the author describes Sophie as a short, blonde, brown eyed mind reader. Fitz, an elf, comes and take Sophie away to the Lost Cities were she finds out she is an elf. Eventually, Sophie goes to live with her elvish caretakers, Grady & Edaline, in Havenfeild. Now, Sophie must pass all of the test to get into Foxfire Academy.

I didn’t get to the climax yet. I’m about 1/3 of the way done)

So far the book Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger is very interesting. One example is, Sophie goes to elf school called Foxfire and she is very confused about her classes. When she gets into the “E” she almost gets hit my lightning. This book has been kind of hard to read because they use imaginary words such as muskog. Some of the words are hard to understand and look really weird. Some connections I made with book were that Sophie’s is shy when she meets new people and so am I. Also, Dex is very outgoing and he can easily ingnore the haters and I feel like I am pretty similar.

What is happening in the story right now is suspenseful. Billy was hunting with his dogs and Little Ann got stuck in the river, which was frozen over. Old Dan was worried about Little Ann, and trying to tell Billy that she needed help. The river ice was way too thin and Billy knew that he couldn’t just walk on top of it. Little Ann was close to the end, and Billy didn’t know what to do. He prayed for a help from God, and he gave him a sign. He waded into the river up to his chin, and wasn’t even close to Little Ann, and that’s where I stopped. Sorry for the cliff hanger! I do not think this book is hard to read, just it gets boring sometimes in some parts until there is drama. Other wise, I like the storyline so far. I have heard it’s really sad at the end so I’m kinda scared.

Summarizing the novel, Taylor Before and After is challenging because it is written in the voice of a person who has “scattered thoughts” and “can’t focus”. But from what I can tell she is a a girl named Taylor Harper who lives in Oahu, Hawaii and moved there from Oregon. She is interested in fashion and her brother loves surfing. The writing style has made it extremely challenging to follow the storyline so this summary is not the best. I have tried reread parts of the book but I keep getting lost in the unfocused thoughts of the character. I wish I would of had the chance to read a different book for this assignment.

My review of the novel Taylor Before and After is that I though it had a lot of potential but the writing style was extremely challenging and disorienting to read and I had a very hard time following the book. For example the author introduces 14 new characters in just the first 14 pages and all of their relationships between each other which for me is overwhelming and I can’t remember all of that information. Second is how frantic the writing seems, some of the sentences only consist of one word and are completely random . The subjects change at super random times too. Third is the fact that it has two altering timelines that change at random points in the bok.

My recommendation for the book, Taylor Before and After is for advanced readers who can decipher between two complex timelines. If this seems like an appealing book to you this could be a great match. I would recommend this book to people from ages 12-16. I think this is a great book for young teens who love realistic fiction and suspense.
(By the way this is the first paragraph)
The book, Taylor Before and After takes place in Oahu Hawaii. The main character Taylor loves fashion and misses her old home in Oregon. Her brother Eli is in away in college. Taylor’s best friend is very rich and popular. Life is well until a very fatal accident happens.

I personally, would rate this book a 8/10. I would rate this an 8/10 because it is definitely a lower grade book, it has long chapters but small words and lower grade vocabulary. I read this book when i was in third grade. This book is very easy to understand. I would recommend this book if you like drama and are looking for a easy to read and understand book.

In the book Island of the Blue Dolphins by SCOTT O ‘ DELL, this story takes place on an island, this island has the most otters around their island people come from far away just to hunt otters to get their skin. In the beginning of the story, captain orlov comes to the island to hunt otters but karanas father says they have to pay their village to hunt on their island. Karanas father takes them to their side of the island but they can’t pass to Karanas fathers side of the island or there will be consequences. Once they have stayed for a while Karanas father has some of his men stay near their camp just in case they try to leave without paying them back. Captain orlov and his men try to leave with all the otter skins they have hunted but Karanas father catches them when they are about to leave and they get in a huge fight on the sand. Karanas dad gets knocked down and lays there for a while.

Karanas brother ramo spots a ship in the distance and when it comes to shore they say that their old captain they thought was dead sent them to take the rest of his village to the island that most people don’t know exists. Ramo noticed that he forgot his fishing spear so he thought he could grab it quickly and come back, but as he was walking back he saw the ship wasn’t there so he was running along the cliff. Karana saw her brother running alone the cliff, she tried to get the captain to move his ship more near the cliff so Ramo could jump in but the captain said no. Karana jumped from the boat and started swimming to the sandy shore.

One day Ramo went to go spear for fish, as karana woke up she noticed her brother wasn’t there so she went to go look for him. She searched the whole island but when she came to a cliff area she heard the dogs howling and fighting so she decided to get closer and see what was going on. As she got closer she saw the dogs making a circle around Ramo. She came closer and she noticed Ramo was dead, he had a huge wound on his neck and another one on the side of his body from the dogs.

I definitely recommend this book. This book is 100% a book I would read again. I would rate this book a 4.87 out of 5 because the beginning of the book almost lost me but as I kept reading it got better and better. If you like adventurous types of books I recommend this book. Although it starts off slow it gets better trust me.

I rate this book a 4/5. The story line is really good, it can just get boring at times, but when it gets interesting it’s kinda addicting lol. I think this book is about 11+ because it has slight cursing, and the reading level might be hard for a 10 yr old. I have not gotten done with it yet, but I heard it’s pretty sad, so if you don’t like sad animal books, this ain’t for you.

I would recommend this book to people between the ages of 8-15 because it’s a funny book for elementary kids and it’s kind of a book for middle and high schoolers. The main character is a kid named David and he does some things that he regrets later on with himself and his parents. Then tries to make it up without telling anybody but his friends. I would rate this book a five out of five because I am hungry most of the time and this is a book about food. I also like this because it’s relative to my life a little bit and I do some things I regret then I try to make things right. That’s who I would recommend it to and why I rated it.

Out of my heart by Sharon M.Draper is a good book with an entertaining story. The main character is melody, you’ll hear more about her in other paragraphs, the different settings are home, the car, the woods, and camp. Melody has a little sister and the sisters live with their parents in a nice neighborhood. The neighborhood kind of judges her family since they got in a car accident 2 years ago, the accident pushed melody into a wheelchair. upsettingly.

Melody is going to camp for a week and it’s the first time being away from her parents in her entire life. She is mute and in a wheelchair. She is a brunette with blue eyes, she has an awesome sense of humor, but she is terrified about going to camp. Her parents are struggling to see her go too, he little sister is FREAKING out about it! Her sister can definitely be over bearing sometimes but she loves her family so much. Melody loves her little sister and loves to help her out.

I have a big opinion on the book and I feel like more people should read this book! Melody the main character is a sweet heart! She has strong opinions but she likes to keep them to herself, she is awesome at sign language and LOVES horses! Her little sister is funny but clingy and annoying at the same time! Her parents love to see both of the kids grow up, melody and her little sister penny. They always take things pretty rough about melody though! Melody is a good kid, but I guess she also can’t do much. Her parents watch over her allllllllll the time! They are just worried about her though.

My recommendation on this book is for ages 10-12 or older! If you like books of courage and excitement I would definitely read this book! This book has such an awesome message and kids should definitely get themselves into books like these! I would give this book a 3.9 out of 5 stars!

The novel Operation Redwood, takes place partially in San Francisco and partially in a redwood grove north of San Francisco. The main character is Julian, a student at Filbert middle school. Julian lives with his aunt and uncle because his mother is living abroad in Japan for work. Julian’s best friend is Danny. One day Julian gets sick at school and has to spend the rest of the day at his uncle’s office at a big company IPX. Julian saw an email on his uncle's computer talking about an old growth Stand of redwoods that was being threatened by his uncle’s company. Julian and his friend Danny decide to help the girl, Robin, who wrote the email to save the redwood grove.

Julian, Danny, and Robin create a plan for the two boys to come help out at her farm for the summer. The team gets inspired by the environmental activist, Julia Butterfly Hill, and decides to camp out in Robin’s treehouse in the redwood grove to make sure the ancient trees don’t get cut down, which IPX has planned to do. The story shows how the actions of three kids can stand up to the greed of a large corporation.

Also, Dex is very outgoing and he can easily ignore the haters and I feel like I am pretty similar.

I would rate Keeper of the Lost Cities a 5 out of 5. I love this book because there are constant cliffhangers. I recommend it for kids from 9-12. If you like Harry Potter or Malala’s Magic Pencil you might enjoy this. This book has a little bit of everything, teen drama, romance, magic, friends, and more. It talks about relatable things but adds that spark you didn’t see coming. I love how Sophie doesn’t feel welcomed when she comes but she had the ability to make a new friend on her very first day. So overall I give this book a 5 out of 5! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
