to be truly radical means to question, be inclusive, challenge things, work with everyone and transform old worldview.
Buddha questioned everything and when he did found answers that opened his mind to new things. Buddha did not force his religion but taught it to anyone who was willing to listen, Buddha also encouraged to live a balanced life not one of fasting and withholding basic human excessities.

When Buddha was young his father shielded him from the harsh realities of the world from inside a castle until his late 20s.
Eventually he ventured outside the palace walls and encountered an elderly man who taught him that people could die.
Buddha came back to the palace and questioned all that he had been taught.
At the age of 29 he left the castle and lived an ascetic life, fasting almost until starvation.
This was until a little girl offered him a bowl of rice and buddha realised that the ascetic lifestyle did not stop the fear of death and he set out on his own accord to find out how to help others from the fear of death.
After this he meditated for a period of several days in which he became truly enlightened and was convinced by one of the gods to teach this enlightenment (Dharma) to everyone.

He really was trying to make the world a better place.
This challenges my world view because he is trying to help death while i am trying my hardest to ignore the fact that it exists not accept it.
