She always helped me take care of my children well at least until they grew bigger than her or started walking. In the photo above is Bonnie kissing my youngest son Elijah when he woke up from a nap crying. Always such a good mama bear. It's been difficult watching her get older and weaker the last couple of months you really don't know how much loyalty love and an ever-lasting pet can give you. I wish she could tell me where she hurts or how I can help. For such a little dog Bonnie has had my back thru a lot. Currently, my older 6 are all in school from elementary to middle school and high school with my final 7th surprise angel in the oven due in a couple of weeks. One major joy of motherhood is to get to watch your child learn and grow. From first words and first steps, to the day they learn how to drive. It's amazing seeing their life and personality take shape and to see the amazing person they become. “Putting myself first is taking care of my family. I cannot pour from an empty cup.” Family call me crazy for going to college when I have so many responsibilities like taking care of my babies. Well, everyone's path is their own journey and in the background of this project is my oldest daughter Maya and myself at my high school graduation. When my daughter started neglecting high school and falling behind I wanted her to understand how important her education is and not just thru high school but continuing to college directly after. I wanted to prove to her and the rest of society who doubted me but especially myself that it's never too late to get a degree despite your hardship there are so many resources within the college walls nowadays and support. I want all my kids especially my girls to realize that just because I was a teenage mom pregnant at 16 gave birth at 17 had my firstborn child at my HS graduation and I decided to work as a shift leader at McDonald's and raise my babies doesn't mean that has to be their path. each of my children is a blessing it's also a huge responsibility and I want my kids to be able to reach their full potential before starting a family.
