Question 1:

It's a last mile school - a multigrade class. Wherein learners may not receive direct instruction/s from a teacher. However, the school is solar-powered and has few gadgets.

In the given scenario, e-learning was utilized both as a supportive tool and an alternate mode of learning. As a support mechanism, it enhanced traditional classroom instruction through digital submissions, online assessments, and multimedia-enriched lessons such as video-based learning and online quizzes. This allowed teachers to manage their classes more efficiently and extend learning beyond the physical classroom. Simultaneously, e-learning also functioned as an alternate mode, particularly during class suspensions, where students—equipped with smartphones and home Wi-Fi—could continue learning independently. The presence of a Learning Management System (LMS) further enabled this dual role, providing a flexible, structured platform for both blended and fully online learning, thereby ensuring continuity and resilience in education delivery.

Question 2:

E-learning is used as support learning given the type of class - multigrade. The e-learning facilitate delivery of the lesson to other grade levels while the teacher is attending to other learners.

Question 3:

The school has no internet connection. And since the gadget is limited and the class is multigrade, the delivery of the lesson, particularly, assessment is not properly facilitated by the teacher.

E-learning is used as a support mode rather than an alternate mode. This is because of the limited access to technology both at home and at school, and the restriction of digital tools to scheduled computer lab time.

The challenges and limitations include: limited student access to technology at home, limited school infrastructure (few functioning computers, no stable internet), restricted availability of digital tools (only during scheduled lab time), and lack of consistent tech support and updated training for teachers.

Teachers can maximize computer lab time, use offline digital resources, integrate traditional methods with technology, promote peer teaching, seek external support and training, involve the community, prioritize essential digital skills, and create engaging content.
