In his book he describes of growing up as a slave, and how those events soon led him to the position that slavery is terrible for slaves.<br>Thesis: Along with the use of figurative language, Douglass uses his story to reveal the effects of slavery on slaves and slave owners which supports his position to end slavery.<br><br></div>]]></description>
