         <description><![CDATA[<div>"Anorexia Nervosa is the primary eating disorder associated with food restriction and self-starvation" (Adamowicz, nd). People with anorexia are, typically, trying to lose weight or to prevent weight gain. This disorder is more common in females, specifically teenagers and young women. </div>]]></description>

They will keep do whatever they can to keep their body weight below the minimum normal weight for their height and age.<br>2. They have extreme fear of gaining weight, even though they are underweight.<br>3. They do not understand the seriousness of their weight loss.<br>4. In females, they skip at least 3 consecutive periods. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Teachers need to know the signs and symptoms of anorexia. With this knowledge, teachers can better gauge if their student might have an eating disorder.<br>2. Teachers need to know what their school offers and the protocol surrounding eating disorders. <br>3. Teachers need to create an environment of trust for their students. If a student feels as though they can talk to you, without judgement, then they may come to you with their problems. <br>4. Teachers need to focus on healthy habits, not body weight or body image. The focus should be on nutrition, exercise, sleep, and even psychological well-being.</div>]]></description>
