Trinidad is where the steel pan originated. Trinidad has a special event every year where you go to something called Carnival. When you go to Carnival, you will see some people dressed up in colorful and extravagant clothing.

Trinidad is found in the continent of South America, which is Southwest of Africa. The absolute location of Trinidad is 10.6918° N, 61.2225° W. A positive impact of living there is that its an island, so it's surrounded by water. This makes it easy to fish and trade. A negative impact of living there is that since it's in the tropical area, they get a lot of tropical storms.

Climate

Trinidad is very hot because it is near the equator, it is also an island. Therefore, it has a tropical climate. This climate helps people who live there because the weather is good for agriculture. This is good because since it is a tropical climate, it's nice and hot but it also gets a lot of precipitation. Trinidad gets around 71 inches of rain per year. This helps because the rain will provide moisture to plants and it won't be too hot to cause a drought. This climate can hurt civilizations living there because sometimes, it can get too hot and cause crops to dry out. It can also rain a lot and cause floods that destroy houses.

Natural Resources

The natural resources in this country are important to people. One of the most important natural resources in Trinidad is Pitch Lake. This is something that naturally grows in the lake. They use it to make roads. Their roads aren't the best but it comes from a natural resource. A positive impact of this resource is that this is used to make roads for different types of transportation so people can get around easier. A negative impact of this resource is that the oil in the Pitch lake evaporates and causes asphalt to form and, sometimes people get stuck in the lake.

Trinidad uses planes and ships to import and export goods. Trinidad mostly exports something called Ammonia. Ammonia is an irritating gas with a sharp odor. Using ships and planes to export goods impacts this society positively because you can easily travel to other countries or regions to trade. Trinidad imports Refined Petroleum. The process of making this is to convert crude oils into petroleum products. Using ships and planes to import and export goods can negatively impact society because when traveling in the sky or in the ocean, storms can happen and products can get destroyed.

Landforms that are important in Trinidad are mountains. This landform positively impacts the people who live here because this island has a lot of hurricanes so, the mountains help block out all of the winds from hurricanes. This helps people because the mountains help block winds that can destroy houses leaving people on the streets. This negatively impacts people that live here because since this is a tropical island, it has lush forest and trees up on the mountains. Hazardous animals, amphibians, and insects live there and can harm humans if bitten. It's also very isolated because it's in the oceans and it has mountains. Another landform that is important to Trinidad are Peninsulas. This positively impacts people who live here because Peninsulas extend to the surrounding seas, which allows diverse ecosystems which support wildlife and plant life. This negatively impacts people who live here because this geographical shape leads to limited freshwater, as the land may not capture rainwater properly.

These geographical terms can both positively and negatively impact people because they can help people but, also hurt people. One example from my paragraph about Landform is "Another landform that is important in Trinidad are Peninsulas, This positively impacts people who live here because this geographical shape connects to the ocean which creates a diverse ecosystem." All in all, This is why these geographical terms are important and impact people in different ways.
