We would like to understand how your school system works, how students move towards this or that type of study (more particularly technical sciences or biology.

They are more and more aware of its reality and the challenges of their future: every summer drives new dryness and heat waves events, every winter drives new dramatic floods... Beside the current political crisis, we have, anyway, to reduce drastically our energy consumption and change our daily habits in the next thirty years.

In this context, teaching why this Climate Change occurs and how the scientists predict its evolution is a key point for these future Earth Citizens. In the past decades, the different Europeans Countries included new tasks in their science teaching programs about this issue. In France, challenges of the future are important parts of the programs of Physics, Engineering sciences, and Earth and Life Sciences.

In the Lycée Branly (Dreux), we have a Euro Section for Sciences in English, with students between 16 and 18. As Climate Change is an important part of the program of Scientific Teaching, we would like to build a project with students of other Europeans countries to exchange about the topic: how did you learn about Climate Change in your schooling?

The details of the project will be discussed with all partners, but for the moment, we have some ideas:

-Write questions about the way Climate Change is taught in Classes and make a common frame of questions

-Answer them in the different countries

-Make a common report, like a video or a podcast with question / answer

The goals are the following for us:

-Practice English using the vocabulary of Climate Change we are studying.

-Meet people coming from other countries (virtually for the moment, we are just beginning to prepare for physical exchange).

-Produce a media (written, oral or video) to put in our website to supply the "Climate Change Project" of our High School.
