The flowers stand out due to the colour separation of cold and warmth. The very front of the image is calm and as you concentrate towards the background, a terrifying scene, trees winding into each other. The colouration in the imagery also appears lifeless making the flower the main focus of colour but due to the whites being very bright the flower becomes outcasted as we question the situation.

The person gently inspecting the flower could be a scientist/botanists inspecting the land for life.

The fact that the people in this picture are wearing these suits makes us question how we as humans will wait until an environmental issue such as this gets out of hand and then act on it even though the damage has already been done.

The first thing that is brought to your attention when looking at this photograph is the contrast of the black sky against the white smoke, the only colour in this image is the dark browns of the rust on the metal this is to represent the negative and bleak outlook the artist has on the future if we keep polluting our atmosphere at the speed we currently are without trying to solve this problem.

The smoke stacks are also shown to be quite rusty and beaten up which could be how the artist is trying to say that using fossil fuels are outdated and we need to focus on renewable energies that don't pollute the atmosphere

Deforestation has gotten almost twice as large, equalling the size of Florida and Maine combined. Besides resulting in a loss of food, shelter, and other resources for local inhabitants, deforestation has a number of local environmental effects such as erosion of soils, reduced rainfall, reduced capacity of soils to hold water, increased frequency and severity of floods and warmer temperatures.
