About CLIL... I haven’t any experience with Clil methodology, but I think it’s very important as necessary to renovate traditional teaching, so I totally agree with the recent educational policiesl that require the presence of Clil learning modules. I strongly believe that it’s a great opportunity for all educational community, students and teachers too, to improve ourselves and our competences. The problem could be the average linguistic level in our community, that is so very high..So I think that it’s also the opportunity to fill this gap.

I think that, with a conscious use, the technologies at school can innovate positively teaching and methodology, with important educational repercussions.

Indeed, the first potivite impact of technologies at school is their ability to promote interest and motivation. it's evident that students are more engaged in the process of learning, and have a more positive attitude toward learning. Because of technology, students perceive learning more innovative and attractive than in traditionals methods, and perhaps they perceive it also more similar to their daily reality, so strongly impregnated with digital.

Secondly, technologies can be a valid help in teaching, for their versatility for students with different styles of learning: they can increase the competences of everybody.

I think that Extensive Reading can be an intersting and very useful activity with students.

Surely, at the beginning, it can be difficult to introduce it into learning planning. Infact, an Extensive Reading project takes time, and perhaps it’s necessary to be very patient before looking the first advantages. But it can stimulate in all students the areas of motivation and interest, of pleasure and curiosity, and levels of autonomy always bigger.

It’s important that the teacher is a model for the class. Imitation of behavioral patterns is the first step.

Students are free to choose the books they prefer,
according to their personal preferences and to their individual language levels.

The choice, made autonomously, increases the sense of independence and self-efficacy, and stimulate in students the motivation to read – even although difficulties- something that they have chosen by themselfs. In this way, students become better reader, learn more vocabulary and improve reading and writing competences.

I think that a good idea can be organizing an Extensive Reading project that include the building up of a reading library in the class: you can organize a borrowing system that allow students to have handy a loto of books.

By using webtools as « Rewordify », « Snap&Read Universal », « Newsela », « Immersion Reading », « Inspiration », students can be helped in learning new vocabulary easily, and reading difficulties can be exceeded without problems.

If the aim is reading as mamy books as possible, for pleasure and information, just for a general understanding, students will be better readers, and fluency and quickness will be their feature.

In all this project I think that it’s very important to use digital technologies, that can help students in order to bypass difficulties, and in order to stimulate very strongly their motivation and interest.
