JFK Library vs The Real Criterion

https://newcriterion.com/2022/12/the-real-jfk-conspiracy/

Both of these are very different sources. The JFK Library website is controlled by the US government, and the New Criterion is a right leaning magazine, which is one of the most influential magazines in the United States.

The JFK Library talks about the events leading up and after the assassination. There is not much detail given, probably because this is a museum website. It is stated, however, that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. The Dallas autopsy law violation was left out.

The New Criterion talks about Lee Harvey Oswald’s possible motives for killing the president. They specifically go into detail about Oswald’s communist and Marxist ideals, and how he was affiliated to the Soviet Union and revealed American secrets to the Soviets. Also how Oswald expressed sympathy for the Cuban Revolution and wanted to make a mark in history.

Both of these sources somewhat agree that Oswald acted alone, but his motives differ by source.

This article is a video transcript of an interview with an agent who worked in the JFK investigation. The agent states that he is proud of what he did and testified before the Warren Commission of his findings. The agent recalls how the entire assassination was set up so the agents could investigate it. Through photographs, eyewitnesses, and setting up a sniper on the sixth floor of the building where Oswald fired the shot, the agents determined that Oswald acted alone, for the shot was too clean and too narrow for anyone else to act with him.
