Impact of Deforestation in the Lorax

Deforestation had great impact in The Lorax. Deforestation affected everyone in town because the people had to live differently. Instead of breathing air, they had to buy air. Instead of having real trees, they had to have fake trees that did not help the ecosystem . Deforestation affected everything for the people because even the water was dirty, and you couldn't swim without turning green. Deforestation impacted the people and businesses around them. This pretty much affected everyone in the community. Some people are affected more than others such as the animals because they lost their entire home due to deforestation. Overall, Deforestation greatly impacted everyone and everything in the book. It changed everyone's mindset and lifestyle.

Science In The Lorax

In The Lorax, there is real science behind it. For example, the the movie. For example, trees give off oxygen and when they are cut down there is less and less oxygen being given off. In the lorax is shows this by showing the point that the people have to buy their own oxygen and their air system is messed up. Also, cutting down trees results in a loss for habitats of animals. In the Lorax, this was showed by the bears leaving their habitat. Also, in the Lorax you can see the bad soil where the once-ler loves. Scientifically, deforestation can lead to soil erosion.
https://sciencing.com/negative-effects-clearcutting-8194063.html
https://www.pachamama.org/effects-of-deforestation

Fiction In The Lorax

Although the Lorax has many scientifically correct aspects, there are still some fictional/adjusted aspects. For example, of the animals lost their entire habitat, they would eventually die and go extinct except for walking in a line. Another fictional aspect is obviously the lorax. Scientists have figured out that there was an inspiration behind the lorax, but there is nothing exactly like it.

Yes! I would recommend the Lorax! I would give it a 4 star review. I took of one star because it was not as appealing for me because of my age, but for younger people it can be very appealing. It shows the deforestation very well and accurately shows the affects of it. Overall, I recommend it.
