The article of the week washelpful in your the fact that it reinforced me of some ways to study. For example, the fact that it reminded me not to just re-read notes but to to do something productive while reading. As well, for me, the most important part of the article was where it stated that students are not neccasarily "math students," but it is often the mindset of the students going into the class. So instead of entering English 1 thinking "I hate writing," to think that "although I'm not spectacular at writing, I am excited to to improve my writing techniques."

The information presented in the article was helpful but at first I thought it was really controversial. I went back to re-read the article only to find out that it was saying that we shouldn't just re-read.
The most important piece of the article was the different tips that it gave us to help us with studying. Now it may not have been very helpful to me, because I already used most of the methods that the article brought up.

I think the most important part of the article was that their are many different strategies for studying, which grows the students brain.

I find many of these ways helpful, like flashcards and remembering information by relating it to something you already know. I use alot of these studying techniques when I study for a test and quiz.

Some of the info that I don't think was helpful was telling us to use flash cards like do they think we're 2 year olds and have never done this before? But one thing in the article that was useful was when it says to re read and when you re read connect it to something you already know was helpful this was the most important part of the article.

I do not think that the article was helpful. It was not helpful to me becasue i know what I need to do when I need to study for something. a lot of the information that that passage presented did not apply to me. I dint use flash cards, or games, or ask myself questions to help understad anything. I perfr doing it my own way to study indont use any of the options that the passage gives me, i kinda just study before a test and that helps me alot. I know that that's bad for you to do that cause you don't learn anything in the long term. But it does help me in the long term...surprisingly.

I think the information in the article was helpful, because when I study for a quiz/test, I usually lose focus and don't feel like I'm study "good enough". The strategies that were listed I've used before sometimes and I did better the next day. I think the most important piece is not to cram because that might do you good for the next day, but in the long run it won't help you because you might forget the information later.

It was helpful by giving ideas to the reader on how they could study better and how it would improve their memory. Most of the material in the article was briefly discussed in my previous classes when someone needed help studying so I already knew most of the information. Even if I did disagree on some of the information the article gave, it still could have helped other kids who needed to know that information.
