Women in Roman families enjoyed some freedoms
Women were expected to run the household and take care of children
Would inherit property ,and could run business when husbands were away
Could not vote and had little power

Children

Rich boys were often sent to private schools
Girls stayed at home and learned household skills
Girls usually married at 14 while boys married later

Romans borrowed many gods from the Greeks and especially worshiped Apollo

Romans were to worship gods at public ceremonies
At first,Romans treated emperors as gods after they died but over time they worshiped emperors like gods when they were still alive
