She's always so excited and happy when at home, but this is a new environment, so I understand being nervous. It feels like time has really flown by. She's becoming more curious about the more complex things in the house and the world such as computers and more TV shows. She is still a little shy when trying to make and keep friends but has not had any issues yet. She plans on trying out for the team when she gets to high school so she has been practicing a lot! She's become more curious about boys and has even asked me questions regarding her transgender friend. I'm glad that she's asking questions and being more curious, however it is still important for her to know how to be safe so I've been carefully educating her about sex, relationships, and healthy sex. With all this independence, though, it's got me a bit worried. I can only hope that she stays safe on the road and tries to be careful when giving friends rides. She's been a bit quiet lately though, and I think someone has been bullying her. I'm giving her some space, but still letting her know she can talk to me when she wants. She has been prepping for college already though! She does not yet feel like one, but that's okay! No one ever really feels like an adult at her age. She got into college and plans to visit every so often.
