         <description><![CDATA[<p>Plants have some small openings called stomata on their surfaces. Carbon dioxide uses these openings to go inside the plant to the chloroplasts. At the chloroplasts, photosynthesis occurs. The plants take the sun's energy, water and carbon dioxide and create glucose or sugar and some oxygen that is released into the atmosphere. The sugar that was created is used to create energy for the plant. </p>]]></description>
