• Purpose - To show how west coast rap changed hip hop sound and it explores different views compared to East Coast rap.

• Context - Hip hop started in the East Coast but the west coast culture was very different. Through different experiences many rappers like E-40, 2Pac, Ice cube, & etc. had to express their views of the world we live in.

• Context - Although Hip Hop is mainly black culture, from the birth of Hip Hop Latinos have contributed to the culture by infusing the music with traditional Latin rhythms to make the genre their own.
