English is like a global language, we use English to communicate with people from different countries and cultures.
That is one of the advantages of a global language, but there are more, we can use a global language to solve some problems around the world, for example wars and terrorist attacks.
But a global language has disadvantages too. Some people can lose their own culture. I had 8,7% not because I did not study, but I have a lot of difficulties in the language, especially in the part of the grammar. I need work more on grammar and practice more the english to have a better result. I will study more and more to improve my classification.

When he was 18, he was exiled from Timor-Leste for its criticism to the failure of the government. He returned to Timor-Leste, but was again exiled in 1970-1971 for speaking out against the Portuguese military regime.
In 1974, Timor-Leste declared its independence from Portugal.
He became the youngest person to speak at the United Nations and convinced UN representatives to pass a resolution supporting the independence of Timor-Leste. In 1996, together with his countryman, Bishop Carlos Felipe Ximenes Belo, he received a Nobel Peace Prize.
Thanks to Ramos-Horta's efforts in 2002, Timor-Leste finally gained independence.
