         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Who</strong> : Muslims <br><strong>What</strong> : It is a celebration held on a first day of Syawal, marking the end of Ramadhan, the islamic month of fasting and prayer.<br> <strong>Why</strong> : It is a time of forgiveness within the muslim community and a time for the strengthening of bonds amongst relatives and friends. New clothes , decorated houses and exchange of invitations between friends and relatives commemorate Hari Raya Puasa.The Hari Raya Light-up at Geylang Serai is one of the biggest highlights of the festival , with colorful lights stretching out over miles of foods and baju kurung ( malay traditional outfit ) stalls at the bustling ramadhan bazaar.<br><strong>Where</strong> : Friends , Family &amp; Relatives houses<br><strong>When</strong> : First day of Syawal .<br><strong>How</strong> : We seek forgiveness from the elderly and give green packets to young adults/childrens that is not working yet . </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><mark>Who</mark>:  Chinese and Vietnamese<br><mark>What</mark> : it is a a harvest festival<br> celebrated notably by the chinese and vietnamese people. the festival is held on the 15 day of the 8 month of the lunar calendar with full moon at night, corresponding to late september to early october of the gregorian calender with a full  moon at night.<br><br><mark>When</mark>: The festival has a long history. In ancient China, emperors followed the rite of offering sacrifices to the sun in spring and to the moon in autumn. Historical books of the Zhou Dynasty had had the word Mid-Autumn. Later aristocrats and literary figures helped expand the ceremony to common people. They enjoyed the full, bright moon on that day, worshipped it and expressed their thoughts and feelings under it.          <description><![CDATA[<div>WHO: Hindus,family members. and relatives<br>WHAT: Decorating their houses for relatives to come over, Fire works would be displayed mainly in Malaysia as Singapore prohibited fireworks, People also would also go to Little India to buy clothing or costumes.<br>WHEN: Deepavali is held on the 27 October ( depends ) It is held for 5days.<br>WHEN: People would go to relatives houses to celebrate. They would drink and talk about their life.<br>Why: Celebrate new beginnings  , the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. It is also celebrated for family gatherings and religious significance. Nonetheless it is celebrated over darkness,knowledge and good over evil.<br>WHO: Family members that are Hindu.<br>How: They have to wake up early in the morning around 7 to fall on the elderly's feet to get blessings. They then have breadfast as a family. They would then proceed to get changed into their new cloths or costume and head of to their relatives houses to spend time with their family or friends. </div>]]></description>

Some foods are selected because they sound like another word that means prosperity, luck, wealth or good fortune. Other foods are served because they resemble money or gold. A <strong>traditional Chinese New Year dinner </strong>might include a whole chicken (family unity), a whole fish (surplus), duck (happiness), lobster (life and energy), Buddha’s Delight (a vegetarian dish made with symbolic ingredients), shrimp (wealth and abundance), oysters (good fortune), scallops (shaped like ancient coins), tea eggs (fertility), noodles (longevity), <a href="https://jeanetteshealthyliving.com/2011/04/gluten-free-recipe-for-chinese-dumplings.html">jiao-tze or dumplings</a> (shaped like old coins), and spring rolls (resemble gold bricks). The aroma of coconut from the dish is none like any other as it makes us want more . After we eat together as a family , we get ready to visit our relatives and enjoy more food at their houses but before we leave the house , my siblings and I get down on our knees and seek forgiveness from our parents and siblings . </div>]]></description>
