Before this story takes place, Adelaide felt like she had no purpose, and she had heard myths of people having magical powers. Her grandma always told stories of people finding their inner magic and using their powers. She went searching for that magic within her. After months of trying, she was finally able to move things with her mind. However, shortly after she started using this power, a group of evil people (I need to find a cool name for them) started coming after her. She had to battle them many times. His dad works for the branch of government that hired the Flame, and he sees some papers on his dad's desk about Adelaide and is worried. He sees her leave to look for Maia, and he follows her. She eventually discovers him and he tells her about the paper. Then, they threaten to kill Owen if she doesn't turn herself in. She must make the difficult decision between Maia and Owen, and her freedom or not. This is when we first see her use her magic for more than a little task. She runs around the facility, tricking guards and searching for Maia and Owen. She evades the Flame while she is searching. A: They all get out safely, but are still pursued by the Flame.  Probably not the best, but it would work.
B: When trying to get out, Adelaide is shot by a guard, and Maia has to stop Owen from running over to her, but they escape.
C: Adelaide is captured when they are trying to escape.  It is very dramatic, and Owen tries to go back and find her, but he is stopped by a guard.
