         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Define:</strong><br>a lot of people believe that certain crystals and rocks have special healing powers and good luck charms. you can go to a store and buy one that it supposed to help you with a problem you are having.<br><br><strong>Connection:<br></strong>there are many diffident types of pseudoscience with healing crystals.<strong> results can’t be reproduced or verified, </strong>there is no scientific results showing that healing crystals really work. also there are lots of stores that sell these crystals so there can be lots of <strong>money involved</strong>. the people that selling those crystals tell you about how certain crystals can put you in a better mood or sleep better etc. and by doing this it makes a placebo affect making you think they really work and word gets around that the crystals work so more people come to try them.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>define:<br></strong>the Bermuda triangle is on the north side of the atlantic ocean and supposedly over 50 ships and 20 air Plaines have gone missing in this section of ocean without a trace of wreckage or distress signal.<strong><br><br>Connection:<br></strong>there are lots of stories about how the Bermuda triangle has taken the life's of so many people for entering and lot of theory's on what's causing these ships and plains to go missing. some say the are mystical sea creatcher's in the waters attacking anything that enters or the waves are so big no boat could make it through, but the only problem with all those theory's is that the <strong>results cant be verified or reproduce</strong> to show&nbsp; that any the the story's are real other then the boats and Plaines are missing</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>define:</strong><br>the <strong>red herring</strong> red flag about distracting the audience from the main problem by focusing on on a less relevant problem steering away from the main issue.<br><br>connection:<br> in this photo its showing Harry Potter and Sirius Black and showing to two diffurent views of Sirius Black in the movie. one shows a more evil looking side of him with a wolf and the other showing he helping Harry Potter. for most parts of the movie he is seen as as one of the main evil charters in the movie witch is a sign of <strong>red herring </strong>because later on in the movie they reveal that he isn't really evil he his just trying to help harry potter but he was discised as evil too do that. <strong>so they steered away from Sirius Blacks main personality and only showed what it looked like he was doing.</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>define: </strong><br><strong>suppression of authority</strong> is when someone of authority prevents your or forces you to stop doing something by making it illegal. it can be for your or others safety or because they don't like what you are doing so they choose to make it so you can't do it at all.<br><br><strong>connection:</strong><br>in the picture above its showing OSHA witch is the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. they <strong>enforce all the safety rules and regulations</strong> on a job site. if you <strong>don't follow the rules they can give you and the company a fine</strong>.&nbsp; they use<strong> suppression of authority</strong> to make sure everyone on the job site stays safe or wont get put in dangerous situations. they also do this to make sure no one is cutting corners on the job to make it go quicker or cheaper.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>define:</strong><br><strong>confirmation bias</strong> is when someone tends to believe or be more bias towards something that they already have information on currently. this decision isn't purposely made by the person they just naturally will choose there opinion based on what information they already know.<br><br><strong>connection:<br></strong>in this photo it shows a dirt bike rider racing. for exampe lets just say Yamaha wants to sponsor and train him so he can race for them. they picked him because he looks strong and has good style. but they do notice that toward the end of the races he is slower and tired but they still pick him because<strong> they choose to over look that flaw in him because he will look good for there team</strong>. this show <strong>conformation bias</strong> because they know he has a flaw but they are choosing to over look it.</div>]]></description>
