This way you can still keep their extra bonus in the picture and not involve any higher management. This could motivate the 2 members that haven’t put forth the effort and could include their knowledge and hard work in on the marketing campaign. However, if the other 2 marketing team members do not address their participation on the project, then you have a sufficient explanation that you can speak to your superior about the dilemma. If they were making a genuine effort, then they should still be credited. However, if they were actually slacking off purposefully, you should bring it to your boss. If their effort was real and the result turned out good, even if they did less work they still deserve to be credited as part of the team.
