We have three labs of over 30 computers, two banks of chromebooks to sign out of over 30 each. Also 2 sets of now old ipads that are past their prime.
However with the new system of the board level managing computers and accounts things are not reliable and our sign up calendar is a ghost town. Before you had to sign up a week in advance.

Some have no mouse, some have no keyboard, and some do not turn on at all.

As for software: what computers are running here is not an easy fix, as in this district we are not able to so much as update Java and add Flash Player to our computers without putting a ticket in for an "administrator" to come and do as we do not have access.

Time Restraints on Digital Game-Based Learning

Throughout our school year, we have a large amount of curriculum to cover and a limited amount of time to do it. While this poses a problem for teachers, it also restricts their method of teaching. It would be amazing to teach as much as we can through interactive and digital games, but our jam packed timetables cause a barrier.

Rice (2007) mentions that it could be beneficial for video games to be "specifically designed so that learning objectives can be typically achieved within 30-45 minutes." Since a typical period at school is 30 minutes, this could be a feasible solution to the lack of time issue.
